There was such a trick done in SMW+4. However, I have no idea how the creator pulled it off. Maybe someone with knowledge of the game could open it up after rlm-ing it and see what the creator did?

Hey, even they fuck up horribly (or get horribly fucked up) from time to time. Just look at the ones from the 100% All-Stars SMB3 one, or maybe even the ones from the DKC3 one. And besides, anyone can be a "professional" speed runner if they put enough work into it.

It depends on the glitch. The ones in the Metroid games and other sequence breaks are generally considered okay, but ones such as the screen warp glitch in Link's Awakening is not.

Yeah, but even the biggest idiots could figure that one out. Truth is, there is no way to eliminate the problems of new users breaking the rules. It'd probably be more trouble than it's worth to go through with coding in something that would prevent the majority of them from getting in. Besides, I'm sure many of the idiots know about the rules, they just don't want to follow them. And what, with all the spread-out-edness off them, the complexity, double-standards and unspoken rules, there are bound to be continuing problems anyhow.

As far as I'm concerned, the goal is not to get into the heads of the guys. It's just to get them to hang up. Getting them never to call back would just be a bonus. However, if I really wanted to screw with their heads, it's possible with a little work and a bit of cash. Maybe make a variation of that if you really want to be creative.
