| Well, that being the case, you should put those kinds of things in a completely seperate section. Don't clog up the main hacks section with spoofs and around 2.715e+86 demos. As forementioned, the entire hack section would be pointless if you did that, as it would be too difficult to sort through the junk to get to the good stuff. Even stereotyping based on content (GSLT tags) wouldn't work. One way or another, there has to be a way to seperate the good hacks from the bad hacks and the full hacks from the pure text hacks. I suggest making multiple hack sections. The one currently linked to could serve as the good, full, hack section. You could use something like "page=hax" for the mediocre hack section, where all the typical or lame hacks go. "page=spoof" could be used for spoofs and pure text hacks. "page=demos" is for demos, of course. "page=bugfix" works for bug fixes. I say this because quite frankly, using the search feature can be a little slow at times, and it takes a little while longer to find the stuff you're looking for. Granted, it's only a few seconds at most, but after a while, it begins to get really irritating. | |||

| Heh, I remember one from Rocko's Modern Life. There was a removed scene in which Rocko and someone else checked into a motel for an overnight stay, and the clerk said something along the lines of "Man, that's a long time!" (edited by asdf on 01-14-06 09:52 PM) |

| Dude.
You're being irrational. First off, there's nothing wrong with the PSP. In fact, I've heard more reports about the DS being defective (dead pixels, mainly) than the PSP being defective. It sounds more like you're getting all whiny and attacking the PSP because you feel left out in the rain. Second, why are you getting so uptight about these changes? They're nothing major that will effect gameplay. (edited by asdf on 01-14-06 10:57 PM) |

| Sumo Bros, Rex and Chargin Chuck are okay for some reason. Are you sure you're not lying or something? If you are not, it would help immensely if you could give us a patch showing the glitch off. | |||

| That still doesn't explain why the tiles show up as garbage, unless he used one of those files you're not supposed to use in those slots. | |||

| Well, I do know of a program that converts Playstation games into broken discs. It's called SMASHIT5.EXE. Only problem is that it's fairly useless after you do the conversion, and it's one way. (edited by asdf on 01-14-06 11:47 PM) |

blackhole89, I believe their issue was with ExGFX file number conflictions. They could set up a system of which ones every designer could use, and repair any "accidents" that might happen. Although I do agree that this hack needs to be a little more creative. Except for the second screen with the colored blocks, nothing really seems to catch my eye in a positive manner. At least fix that horrible ice blue pipe background. ![]() |

| NESticle did have its flaws, though. Sound, for example, was a big one. Granted, these flaws may have encouraged others to make emulators that fixed these problems. But what are you going to do.
Oh yes, and it's nice to have an SNES emulator that can finally run Earthworm Jim 2 with no problems. Earthworm Jim worked fine for me in one version of ZSNES WIP (0519, I believe), but EWJ2 has never worked on any emu. Now, if only Stunt Race FX was emulated perfectly...that'd be all the games from my childhood completely functional on emulators. (edited by asdf on 01-14-06 11:59 PM) |

| In-fucking-credible. I love the underwater castle. It seems as if that wiggler replacement sprite is showing up everywhere, though. But who's complaining? | |||

| I once willingly ate a bunch of ants. No toppings were used. They weren't that bad, either; at least in my eyes. I suppose others would not like that sort of thing. | |||

Fall off a building to my death. That way, at least I might be able to take out a hapless pedestrian below.
Would you rather assist in a drug harboring operation or an assassination? Both assume you won't get caught. (edited by asdf on 01-15-06 03:36 PM) |

| Raw, of course. Otherwise, it wouldn't be as gross. I ate them while they were still alive. Oh, and I heard about that story as well, except it was with spiders instead of ants. It's understandable though, as stories such as that one often get warped beyond recognizition when going from person to person. | |||

Originally posted by Shyguy I believe so. Didn't notice that in the early morning. However, I must say that the new ducking style is much better than the old one. With the old style, it looks as though Mario was crushed flat, leaving only his nose sticking out. The only problem might be sliding under things, but I'm sure there's a way around that. |

| A rough time, huh? RPGOne seems notorious for its staff members having a "rough time". I swear that every time they do a translation, one of their translator's family members die or something. And they put tributes in their translations. But...*ahem*...
It looks like this is going smoothly so far. Chrono Trigger is one of my all-time favorite games, and seeing it re-translated would please me to no end. Good luck, guys! I hope you don't run into any problems along the way. |

Originally posted by Ran-chan Damn shame that they only fix the problems for a fee, though, right? It may be just me, but this strangely resembles the PS2 disc read error madness when it was first released. It's a matter of when, not if, this dead pixel situation is going to end up in court. My guess is probably sometime in the next few months. |

| Tomatoes, haha. I like everything about them except for the tomato itself. Ketchup, tomato soup, etc. I just can't seem to eat tomatoes themselves. I unwillingly choke if I even try. The scent of cooking tomatoes also makes me choke. I don't know how to explain that one. The part that seems to bother me the most is the seeds, or whatever they are. I want to try them again sometime, but the oppurtunity has never rose up. (edited by asdf on 01-15-06 04:19 PM) |

| There's your problem. Just like the program said, you edited sprite file 02 (Either GFX01.bin or GFX02.bin), and the file is now too big. Take all the GFX from a normal SMW ROM (allGFX.bin), insert it into your hack (put it into the graphics folder and use joined GFX), and hopefully, it'll fix itself. Tell us how that works out. Actually, you can. First, insert the ExGFX, and use the Super GFX Bypass to get it into your hack. At that point, just start setting them up in the 16x16 Tile Map Editor. Right click on a square, click "Edit 16x16 Attibutes", set the palette and the tiles to use (use the 8x8 Tile Map numbers), and you'll be good to go. Use F9 to save when you're done. Keep in mind that for backgrounds, you have to put them into the 0x1000 space in the hack, so just keep pressing the down arrow until you reach Page 0x12. To use the tiles themselves, open the Background Tile Map editor, and press Page Up or Page down until you reach the page with your tiles. Just remember to put a tile that uses the tiles F8, F8, F8, F8 in the top left corner of the 16x16 tile map page. It'll save you a lot of trouble later.
Map16Page and Map16PageG are used when importing and exporting Map16 tiles with F2 and F3 in the 16x16 Tile Map Editor. They're used for the background, but you don't need them if you want to set the background up yourself (good idea if you plan to use a lot of ExGFX Workshop files). And of course, it goes without saying that you *CANNOT* use them if you don't have them; so you have to set up your background yourself. If you need any further help, don't hesitate to ask. | Definetly Sky Garden. Awesome music, cool graphics, and all around awesome. I also like Frappe Snowland, for the same reasons. Koopa Beach 2 would probably get third place, because it's one of the more tolerable beach levels. | |||

| Haha. Now that I look at it, Barney is the badass equivilant of the Trix Rabbit, only [Fruity Pebbles] are for all humans and he's just being a prick. And remember Cookie Crisp? The way they said it in the commericial, makes it sound like they're doing drugs. COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKIE CRISP! Hell, Cookie even sounds like "kooky", which could be used to describe a drugged person. |
