I'm voting for Kejardon, if only because Darkdata dropped a hint after Tanks was killed that makes it a little more plausible for him to be the insomniac. If I'm wrong, well, all I can say is sorry to Kejardon and to make sure that we shoot Darkdata first thing tomorrow morning.

Tatrion had the past results from the archives in the wiki, so when Xk finally gets it up again it'll be easy to compare.

If I remember correctly, vertical levels in SMW are not made to work with a background set to anything besides "None" for the BG scrolling. SMW stores extra graphics data directly below the background, so when you scroll the background down (something that normally can't happen) you reveal this extra data, which appears as garbage. If you don't have a background and instead have a level on Layer 2, you can use certain sprites to scroll the background sideways or do other effects, such as those in Morton's Castle. Otherwise, I'd suggest leaving the BG Scroll set to None on vertical levels.

Interesting how a lot of my favorite things/characters have a link to my favorite colors.

My favorite colors are blue and orange. I don't know if that stemmed from my favorite video game characters being those colors or if those colors became my favorites because they were the colors of my favorite video game characters. It's a bit of a blur in my memory anymore.

In a tangentially related topic Level 8 is my favorite level in NES Tetris.

Meep. Blame laziness and forgetting the solution to this puzzle for the delay.
Anyway, I'm tossing out #29 and starting again with #30.

Current Scores:
Kejardon: 31
Kirby ATW: 28*
SoNotNormal: 12
Cheveyo Chowilawu: 5
fabio: 3
kristopher_pearman: 1
Clockworkz: 1
Sonicandtails: 1

Puzzle 30

Moves: 4
Rows: 9
Columns: 4

Points: 3

I've decided to keep the difficulty down some from now on.

Also there's a bonus:
Bonus 5

Moves: 1

Rows: 12
Columns: 6

Points: 3

Same rules as always.

Good luck on these new puzzles. If the thread dies again though I don't know if I'll revive it...

I have to say, the level 10 cpu on PPL is really a joke and a disappointment, since it can't even play on 3-d mode without losing in less than 2 minutes. Also, it terms of how it compares with TA, it's about the same, which shouldn't be the case, since the N64 is a more powerful engine that should allow the AI to reach new heights. Well, anyway, it's quite interesting seeing that there are quite a few other skilled tetris attack players!

The PPL AI is made for 2-D mode; if you've played it on 2-D you'll know that it's several times harder than TA AI, if only because it knows how to keep itself alive by making garbage chains where the TA AI doesn't. As for the Puzzle League Lv. 20 CPU, it seems to be at least as good as if not better than the PPL Lv. 10 CPU, so if you want a challenge that's another good one to try.

Going from past experience I believe that each alternate account is counted separately, so one person could sweep the top three if he/she posts a lot.

Hmm. Have you tried deleting your cookies? An old cookie is probably preventing you from logging in. (Of course after deleting them you'll have to try logging in again.) If that doesn't work I'd personally try asking Xkeeper about it.

I had an old calculator that could change numbers into four bases: binary, octal, decimal, and hex. I always wondered what that "hex" mode was and why it used letters instead of numbers sometimes, and when we finally covered numbers in different bases it finally dawned on me what that mode was. From there I played around with my calculator until I discovered emulators and rom hacking, where I finally had a use for that old calculator.

When is the next grouping of Sudoku coming along?

As for the points, if you'd read the thread you'd know this:

Yes, they are worth different amount of points. Says so in the first post.

1 pt. for the easy puzzle.
2 pts. for the medium puzzle.
3 pts. for the hard puzzle.

An extra point for solving the puzzle with a different solution than the one I have.

As for when the next three show up, you'll have to ask fabio.
