Posted on 12-28-05 01:51 AM, in Birdo's way of Speech Link
I think the new form of "speech" Birdo has fits her better. The point about her proboscis not really being able to produce coherent speech has already been made.

Also, I don't remember her voice in SMA (I only played that game for one day when I borrowed it from my cousin when we were home on vacation), but if it was anything like her voice from Mario Tennis 64, then I can certainly say with no hesitation that her voice should never go back to what it was. Her voice was incredibly annoying in that game; it didn't even sound like a natural voice.

Alternatively, switch 1) the bottom-left cyan triangle in the stack left, followed by 2) the bottom-left navy triangle. This will clear the left-hand set of circles, followed by a set of three cyan triangles. To complete the puzzle, switch 3) the bottom navy triangle in the remaining stack right, followed by 4) the bottom cyan triangle in the stack right. The circles will clear, followed by the cyan triangles and the navy triangles.

I'm pretty sure that is the case; however, I don't have a clue what the format is. I tried putting in data points according to d4s's format, but the computer either drove in circles at the end of the first straightaway or followed the course backwards. If anyone who knows the format or knows what may be wrong with the method described in the first post, I would be much obliged.

Posted on 02-08-06 11:24 PM, in Nes SMB or Snes SMB? Link
I voted NES SMB, mainly because of what Shadic mentioned here:

Also, as great as the graphical and auditory improvements were, I think the original NES game just had that nostalgic quality that SMAS lacked in general (with the exception of NES SMB2, which was not quite as good as the updated version). When I think of SMB, I don't see the updated graphics, nor do I hear the improved sounds. Instead, I remember how Mario would walk through the blue sky of world 1-1 in the demo, sometimes slightly glitching up and running into a pipe instead of running and stomping a goomba like he was supposed to, and then pressing Start to be greeted by the familiar beeping and booping of the game's music and sounds.

But, then again, this is just my opinion. Everyone is entitled to have his or her own. If you disagree with me, that's perfectly fine.

Hello, everyone!

This is Kamek77, here to tell you that yes, this thread will be (re-)revived...
SoNotNormal has agreed to hand the game off to me, so I will take up the reins from here.

Just as a reminder, here are the
Current Scores:
Kirby ATW: 4
kristopher_pearman: 1
Clockworkz: 1

And here's the next puzzle!

Puzzle 6

Moves: 2
Rows: 5
Columns: 4

Points: 1

Pretty easy one, actually.

Anyway, this thread should be back to stay for a while, hopefully.

Happy puzzling!

I assume you are asking about the SMB3 Level Discombobulator, correct?
If so, and if I remember correctly, PgUp and PgDn switch world maps.

Maybe a bit too easy?

Current Scores:
Kirby ATW: 4
kristopher_pearman: 1
Clockworkz: 1
Sonicandtails: 1

Oh, and no problem, SNN. Making puzzles is just as fun as solving them, really.

On we go:

Puzzle 8

Moves: 3
Rows: 6
Columns: 5

Points: 2

Slightly tougher, but not horribly difficult.

--Kamek77

Edit: does anyone even care about this thread anymore? Because I really was looking forward to keeping it going...I even had the next three puzzles made up already.

The only modding I've ever done to a system was to break out the little plastic pegs in my SNES to get Panel de Pon to work in it.

Which isn't much, I guess, but I don't really have anything else I would even need to mod.

Posted on 02-24-06 12:34 PM, in Problem w/SMB3 Hack. Link
The problem could be a number of things: a missing or bad pointer to the world 1 map or to level 1-1, a "Crash" object placed somewhere in your level (M3I likes to randomly toss them in your level after you save sometimes), or you may have gone over the limit of 3-byte, 4-byte, or sprite objects.

Check your level for "Crash" objects in M3I. If there are none, open a clean ROM in M3I, go to the Level menu and select Level Info. Take note of the Size in Bytes and Size of Enemy Data (which should be 263 and 42, respectively). Then open your edited ROM and go to Level Info. If the Size in Bytes or the Size of Enemy Data (or both) are larger than the values from the clean ROM, your level has too many objects. If this is the case, try deleting some objects to shrink the level size.

Wow, I just got in on the tail end of this one.

I'm too busy to read through 22 pages of posts to try to figure out what's going on, so, um, is this similar to the "Insomniac bonus" thread in the DC, where it was a random easter egg by Xkeeper? Or is something really bad about to actually happen to the board, where if the meter doesn't hit 2K, it explodes again?

...Clue me in.
Please?
