I. Hate. My. Pad.

Today I decided to play some more StepMania on pad, so I hooked it all up and stuff and began playing.

I C'd Tsugaru. C'd it. I played a few others and failed some that I know I could do and C'd ones I can easily ace. I figured I should play on keyboard for a bit to see if my timing was off.

I then AAA'd on keyboard 5 times. That eliminated the timing issues...

I did pad once more on Light and it wasn't responding well to that.

Therefore, my 20 dollar mat that I had for two months is no longer in good condition. I would use my Xbox mats, but the converter is for PS2 only. Even then, my brother's old mats have been folded for well over 6 months and won't stay flat anymore and my own Xbox mat has gone through enough as it is.

So I'm going to invest my money into a better mat. I am getting $50 this week to house-sit and am saving that for a pad. I don't know what I'm going with yet, but it may be a Cobalt Flux if I can get a job real soon. I need something that will last and not move on my carpet.

EDIT: Fragments of Sorrow got a makeover today so I'm going to finish it up tomorrow and upload it. Its a whole lot better looking, to say the least. Also, Lyle in Cube Sector fans, I'm attempting one of the songs from it.

Upon reaching the halfway point, Alzo decided to rest against the wall of the ventway. After a few seconds he began to hear speech. Startled, he crawled to the airvent cover and peeked out to see a card game going on. "Heh. This will be easy for me."

He sniffed some air and felt a cough coming along from a burning smell. He tried to hold it in but a faint squeaky cough came out. He covered his mouth and waddled away from the ventway slowly, as to not cause more noise. Hopefully the crew will think it was a rat.

Then it dawned on him.
Why would the crew bring rats to an unfinished station?

After walking back a bit he turned around and walked slowly, hoping that he won't get anymore attention from that room.

Its finally released.

Now to spend hours playing it.

After all your first demos and screenshots, I have been interested in this for a while now. So I now want to play it to see how it ends.

Will report tomorrow.

Sorry.

An elevator?

NICE!

That could open up some new level design ideas... possibly...
It just looks a little... small, for big Mario at least. It should at least be one more tile high... and not 3D. It clashes with the 2D to me...

I used the demo version and couldn't grasp it.

If I am thinking right, you should search Fruity Loops generators. Don't take my word for it though. I am trying to learn Buzzmachines at the moment...

EE: Odds are I'm getting a different room than the one I am in that has a wood floor, so it all works out for me with that.

As for now, I have satellite for a few days and am willing to take any simfile. Well, not tonight, probably. Tomorrow I definitly will.

Tonight I have to recover from a random hard drive crash that eliminated all my sims and anything I didn't have backed up...

On a DDR Ultramix related note, A'd Brilliant R*E*D, A'd Tsugaru again, and got around to the halfway point on Maxx Unlimited.

But now that I think about the thug deal, I think that it is a lot better to eliminate them as well as trying for the Mafia members because if we find the big daddy he'll use thugs first than Mafia members. Eliminating the thugs forces the Big Daddy immediatly to resort to the Mafia.

Ugh. I'm confusing myself. I should stop watching King of the Hill on DVD and concentrate...

The ITG entries for OSC 5 are up if you are interested. Link

Also, watch some of those on a SM machine via this thread. These players will also do the DDR entries once they are posted if time permits for them.

My entry for ITG isn't that good... Oh well. It was worth a shot there.

Hmm... well, I'll try to IM Xk about making a tournament forum once a day or two. It'll keep reminding him without totally pissing him off.

Besides, if we had about 2 or 3 tourneys going at one time be it game tourneys or art contests (eh, that could go in Modern Art, but there are forum announcements to redirect them to the new forum) it would be nice. Just that any tourney that wants to be done has to be backed up with support.

Only thing is that the moderators (if any) would have to be there to maintain order to know when to close threads when a tourney is over and sticky them for when they are in progress.

Sure, having many contests could be chaotic, but we have two completely different tournaments going on right now anyway and they are running fine as far as I know. Just put them in one forum so that all tournaments and contests are easily in view. Mario Kart DS, Literai, and Avatar Contest at once wouldn't confuse people at all since they are totally different tourneys and contests. Hell, put in Bomberman in there as well! If we have someone organizing it and is doing a good job, multiple tournaments wouldn't be that bad.

Yes, I'm in support of the forum.

I'm guessing the game has to relate to Acmlm's Board, mainly, I guess. Anything rom-hackable at the moment should get a page as well as any game that has been used in a tournament or something.

Also if a game has its own stickied topic, it should get an article. That includes DDR/SM/ITG/etc., SSB series, WoW, and... I don't know what else.

If you are unsure what games should be on the wiki, try checking the General Gaming section for that game. Otherwise, do it anyway and if anyone objects, it can be deleted.

I haven't been in the wiki in a while... I forgot what was there.

My two words on ITG2: Holy shit.

I actually got to play an ITG2 machine today, first time ever. First song I chose was Bumble Bee on Expert. FAIL! Then I forget what the next song was called, but it was one on hard that has a roll for about a full 30 seconds or so. God, that's exhausting.

I then later tried Bumble Bee on Hard and passed, then I did One False Step (or something along the lines of that) on hard and passed, and then Vertex˛ on medium.

It would have been better if the left arrow on the P1 side held freezes and the pad was more responsive to hands... then again, it was a DDR pad, not an ITG pad.

It. Was. Awesome. Yet, it shows how much I need to practice.

I'm not sure about the whole road thing to the right, though. It looks quite plain around there right now, but that may be due to no details yet. Plus the roads seem odd proportion wise as of now (which I'm sure you might have noticed...). Otherwise, I wouldn't know what else to comment on. Its going to look good when finished.

I like the Albumix series. http://www.angelfire.com/stars5/shortysnmn2010/Albumix.htm

There are a variety of songs on there with varying difficulties. Graphics aren't much, but the steps make up for it. The latest two are O2JAM and PIU songs only, but they have good steps.

At least I play one song from them everyday...
