Umm... haven't seen a thread on this... at all... so...

Electroplankton is one of those games that make you wonder if it really is a game.

Here's the scoop. There are ten plankton. With each one, you do different things with your DS.
Each plankton makes cool sound effects or music when you mess with them.

Tracy is simple. Draw lines on the screen and they make sounds depending how you draw the line (or circle or square or whatever).
Hanenbow shoots off of a leaf and bounces off of other leaves. This is quite fun to do.
Luminaria is a set of four different types of them. Each make a different sound. By changing the arrows that they bounce off of, they make different melodies. Quite pleasant.
Sun-Animalcule is a unique one. Placing them on the touch screen makes them make sounds as they grow. Depending on where they are placed, they make different sounds. Kind of strange.
Rec-Rec is awesome! There are four of them on the screen and they move along at the same time. Press one and when it returns, you record a sound with the microphone. Then it replays the sounds with a beat in the background. Results are hilarious at times.
Nanocarp is also simple. They (as in all 16 of them) respond to sounds in the microphone from clapping to blowing into it, which they then form shapes. Using the touch screen you can make ripples that make them make sounds or you can also use the control pad to make a wave across the screen.
Lumiloop is also simple. There are five of them. Spin them around. They make nice sounds.
Marine-Snow requires you to tap the screen to make music. Simple, really.
Volvoice is also pretty unique. It records your voice and when you change its shape to some pre-determined ones, it manipulates the voice. I made an AIM soundset using this one.

Then there is Beatnes, my personal favorite. It mimics sounds from the NES. There are five different ones that are of different instruments. There are four soundsets here: Mario Bros., Kid Icarus, NES Collection, and Robot. My favorite is NES Collection which has some nice instruments (not to mention the Duck Hunt dog in there). Tap their bodies and they will repeat the sounds four times. Use the other bodies to make full songs.

There is also an audience mode in which you don't have to do anything. It will loop through all the plankton and perform their actions for you.

The only way to get this game is online, however. Unless you are lucky and find it in stores.

Official Website for those who want to see what it is like.

So... who else has this game?

For the jumping, did you check "Ignore if cannot be moved?"

I did a jumping system a while ago. You enabled it via an item and then disabled it when you press the menu key.

I think that might be your problem...

Anyway, can't wait to see this sometime.

William: "Well, if it isn't Grey. This ought to be a nice battle then."

William stood there as Grey took his position and began to play with his yoyo. Once he began to walk the dog, William began to lose interest... well, in the yoyo...

William: "Let's start off then, shall we?"

To start things off, William grasped his sword in both hands and began running forward on the hard ground. Once he reached to where Grey was with the yoyo, William lowered his sword down and swung it up in a diagonal slash from the left to the right. A standard first move, but William didn't like to start things with a strong attack. It just wasn't as fun for him.

Interesting chart, though...

Define normal.

Default palette used in YY-CHR: Palette -> Default
A SMW Palette: Make a savestate in ZSNES and import it in YY-CHR using Palette -> Import Savestate

I hope you mean the second one though. If it is the first you were wondering... 0_o

The only thing I can think of is another common event that checks to see if a certain map has an event that turns on a certain switch as a parallel process that doesn't allow jumping on that map.

I know what you are trying to do, which is great, but there isn't anything that can allow you to do such a thing in 2000. I have yet to figure that out myself.

I'm actually curious to see something of this. Sounds interesting from what I have read.

Ah, I never actually understood coordinate based events...

So simply put, you have an event that makes the character walk forward twice, but the user has to press the jump command in order to jump across the obstacle.
Genius. Pure genius.
At least that is what I think you are trying to aim for...

...wow.

Its about time, though. I can see many hacks using this in the near future which will probably make it... overused, but then again some people might be creative and use it to its fullest.

Good work, Smallhacker.

So they do, and smoke blocks out the sun, and it becomes really cold. Rather depressing indeed.

After that episode, part of my soul died.
It was one of those shows that I watched non-stop. So much, in fact, that I had the episodes entire lines memorized to where I could watch it in my head.
Great show... great show...

Now Catscratch isn't that funny compared to other shows out there. Sure, you got the person who did the Tallest Purple in Invader Zim doing Waffles, but... the show reminded me of Ed, Edd n Eddy too much.

Speaking of which, Ed, Edd n Eddy is a great show. Ed says the most stupid things.
"Canadians are weird."
"I was a moose once."
"I say the cheese is always twice the fencepost."
"Love is like an onion. The more you peel away its layers the more it stinks."
I could post more...

Well... I haven't seen the newest episodes, but the older ones with Patrick were good...

Now, while everyone might go all crazy on your ass, but I am not.

Let's take a look at what can be improved. I am only doing the last four screenshots since those are the ones that are needed to be judged.

1. The stickman could definitly use some touching up. While I do like the idea somewhat, the stickman can go from being one pixel lines to something a little bit... more defined. Sure they are supposed to be simple, but not that simple. Try making the stick figures a certain color and then outline the outside of them. For the faces, put in a color that will suit well. You could keep the heads not filled, though, but it wouldn't look right with an outline, so make the head the color of the stick's body, then make the eyes and mouth black. That should help some. It would also possibly make the FG blend in as well.
2. You will have to change the SMW graphics as they don't fit the style of the hack that you are trying to head for.
3. Rexes need a definite change. Also here is where the edges need to be refined. The slopes and corners don't fit with the flat ground. Remove all the curves in the slope and make them straight diagonals. Also, remove the shading underneath the grass.
4. Same argument.

As Riku said, try focusing on one hack at a time instead of many. Sure you wouldn't be able to make as many, but they would be of higher caliber than your previous works.

Good luck with improving this though.
Heh. And to think that my hack had a Stick Figure Hills level in it...

I'm only into Rec-Rec and Beatnes in Audience Mode. I prefer to do everything else. Favorites are Beatnes, Volvoice, and Lumiloop.

Everyone wants to complain about lack of saves. It doesn't need it. Besides, if it did have a save feature, you could save... what? One song? The modes go on forever. If you kept going, you'd be stuck with one save or worse, not able to save at all.

You could make some neat songs with this though. Use the headphone connection on the DS and hook it up to the microphone port of the computer to record your stuff. Heh. My AIM sounds are from Volvoice...
Using an audio editor, you could make your own real songs with it if you wanted to... although I am crap with it...

Umm... you don't have to go through the maze. Just grab the key and backtrack.

Then you activate the P-switch in the next room, grab the other key, place it under the pipe, and you beat the level.

...and the demo...

Also, I can put the elbow of my right arm behind my left ear, but can't do vice versa...

"..."

William knew the attack was going to miss. It usually did. That wasn't his problem though. The problem was he thought Grey was expecting more.

William stood up straight and stepped back to where he once was.

"Ok, fine. You want rules? That's it? No leaving this square area. No going in the stands in other words. Otherwise, this is just a standard fight. No real reason behind it either. Wait... well, the reason is that I've been very competitive lately, so... yeah..."

With that, he stood there and awaited some sort of gesture for the fight to commence...

Well, Rex's head has always been off a little. That's how he always has been...

In order for you to use him, you'll have to use a different sprite of him since it won't work right unless you load Mario's head in some weird way (sure that there is a way, but would require custom coding as usual).

So... it would require more work than you thought...
