Scrabble, because I'm good at it and usually win against my family if I don't get total junk for letters.

How many books do you have in your bag when you go to school (If you're not in school/college don't answer this question please)?

I usually don't get next-gen systems until at least 6 months after it comes out, since it's around then there's a price drop But, Nintendo Rev, since you can get old games onto it.

Put the frames for the brick GFX in frames 1-8, and coin GFX in frames 9-16. You must also change the animation from "Normal" to "POW activated".

I know this from personal experience

I'll sit in class and draw random shapes when I should be paying attention.

I'm not really a mean person. I'll try to be mean to people who are mean to me, but I can't do it.

On-topic, I have my own hack, plus I'm extremely lazy. So I can't help.

I think he means the Map16 editor. And to fix your tilesets, click the purple poisonous mushroom in the LM toolbar. You can choose what tilesets to use there.

Oh, in that case, you should probably want to change the rendering to SNES 4BPP. The graphics should appear correctly. If you want correct palettes, make a save state in the level you want YY-CHR to render the palettes of, then load that state in YY-CHR.

Just make a copy of an existing GFX file and rename it to ExGFX###. Then you can edit the images in there to whatever you please.

Posted on 12-01-05 05:43 PM, in Good Levels Link
So, I've only been SMW hacking (in the LM sense of the word) for 4 months, and I've made a grand total of 4 completed levels
However, I've mainly been focusing on the OW, since I'm trying to have a very unique, non-linear overworld. About 1/5 of the Main map, 1 submap, and about 1/4 of another completed so far

And no, it's not still called "Super Mario's Adventure", since I realized I was blatantly ripping off DahrkDaiz's hack name. So I thought about it, and came up with "National Mario's Vacation". And of course, if you've seen "National Lampoon's Vacation", you'll know the situation goes from bad to worse very quickly (Though the plots have very little in common).

How did you buy one? Whenever I tried to buy a DOS prompt, I get this error message:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '*0.6+1337 WHERE uid=132' at line 1

Then it boots me back to the shop without the item. I don't even spend my coins.
I've tried it with other items, but I get similar messages.

I would like to beta test your hack because I'm bored, so I'll go over every minor detail possible. Like I'll try to find loopholes with the cape, levels with Yoshi errors, etc.

Review (Yes I beat it in 2 days, I've got THAT little to do, and this game is mad fun)

SPOILERS! (obviously)

Spoiler:
Man but this game didn't pull a Lufia 2 (if you don't know what I mean, the sequal being better then the original). This game is definatly jacked up on the difficulty from Superstar Saga (I was literally ramming mushrooms, one-ups, peppers, the whole lot down my throat during the final battle(s), because they can do LOADS of damage FAST. Anyone who hasn't, I highly reccomend getting green and red peppers NOW).

They also dumbed down the equipment system with only 2 slots instead of 3 (no 2nd accessory). Armor raises all of your stats instead of just HP and DEF, and badges only give effects).

Don't think I'm complaining about the difficulty, I like it a lot, but young kids may not like it because of the difficulty. And if you're not gonna use items, good luck. I mean it.

Plotwise, it's slightly more predictable then SS was (Though there are a few interesting twists. Such is when in the final battle, you find out you were assembling the C. star to help the shroobs the entire time. I won't go into detail, because some people will read this without having finished the game and will yell at me.

Overall, it was very nicely done. The graphics are extremely well done, and I only noticed ONE graphical glitch (and it's very, very nitpicky). Obviously, being an RPG, you probably won't play through it more then a few times (a low-level challenge maybe, but it'd be hard as hell. I had trouble on SS doing a low level game.)

My rating out of 10: seven (7)
