| Probably, but it seems the game is much simpler, like a GIF or <=8-bit PNG, where only one color bit is completely transluecent. | |||

| CPU: Celeron 1.4GHz (pretty much a Pentium III)
RAM: 384MB Video: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 HD: 250GB NEC 4551A DVD burner It was purchased at $30 as an NEC 3550A until I found out the hardware was exactly the same so FIRMWARE HACK (now I can do DVD-RAM and LabelFlash )
Six USB1.1 ports 1.44MB floppy drive that is seldom used, I have one good floppy disk (aka without physical errors) I primarily use OpenBSD 3.9, I've got Windows XP on it, I only use it for emulation really |

ftw but if I were to ever see one, I'd probably say Flash ads are the worst. Since Flash is the most evil of all web plugins. |

Actually it should say, "everything in the GoodNES set" unless you really do have all the ROMs not listed by GoodNES as well ![]() |

Seriously, he's just saving punctuation marks for all those who don't use them
I played Doom online a couple years ago, but Mario Kart DS is the only one I've done in recent times. Hard to pick between two vastly different categories |

No thanks, FWNitro and launchers are free
Though I have to say something. FWNitro only affects the tracks playable on WiFi Connect, it doesn't affect single-player or local multi-player (man, it'd be awesome to choose different tracks for single-cart multiplayer; damn Nintendo wanting us to buy multiple copies). |

A little comparison (filename of the original hosted file renamed to abridge.bmp for convienence):
-rw-r--r-- 1 mike mike 1.9M Sep 1 18:41 abridge.bmp Notice even a real PNG is over twice as small as the original, but not a good format for that particular image. The JPEG at 75% quality is a mere 107K, about 5% of the original filesize and it still looks nearly identical. Attached is the JPEG version of the image, it might be nice to edit hte first post to this so that you don't waste everyone's time with a mal-named BMP. |

I always found making simple message boards in a single day was a good passtime I haven't dealt with PHP for a couple years now either, i've been considering getting back into it. |

| Sure they could, run arbitary code and find out weather MARIOKARTDS is in SLOT-1, and/or find out what's in SLOT-2. | |||

| it refers to the fact that the speed (probably read; write will be slower) is 133 times faster than standard SD. Though not ever SD port will be able to transfer at the speed, but the card will still be fine going at lower rates. | |||

| They're about the same, though I think that the SNES can have twice as many colors in spirte mode than the GBA can (but the smaller screen dimensions somewhat allow for better arrangement than SNES); the GBA can have 32,768 colors in bitmap mode, far more than the SNES could at any time, but it's rarely used because you don't stare at static images often.
He says that the GBA is 32 bit while the SNES is 16 bit. in THUMB mode, the GBA is 16-bit, but in ARM-mode it is 32-bit not that it matters either way. the bandwidth of the CPU is pretty much a non-issue. |

| MAME uses one of the cleanest ways to store the games, they basically have a file for each ROM chip, and the byte-ordering isn't all f-ed up. It really depends on what the game is, one method of viewing/editing graphics is not necessarily going to be the same for another game. | |||

| gbatek explains how the sound works on the NDS quite nicely, if you're interested.
It's probably pretty simple to extract sound files from the NDS images, and then emulate the proper NDS components. (ps, USF is for Nintendo 64. stands for Ultra Sound Format, based on the old Nintendo Ultra 64 name) |

Originally posted by PrincessPeach Meh, the Doom port to GBA sucked. Worse than the port to SNES. DSDoom wins; though a GP2X version might benifit due to the system being more powerful.
SL64: GBA SP, GBM, and GBA mode on the DS are all the same as the original capability-wise. |

| That FAQ pretty much means no illegal activities. That means pirating emulators as well as ROMs
Personally, I don't really like PJ64 anyhow. I use Mupen64, the TAS-enhanced version (it's dual-purpose hey, plays games and has those extra useful features for playing or recording TASes ). |

| Hmm, it might possibly be a rootkit that's being detected. If that's the case, then you should be able to see the file from Recovery Console (boot the XP CD-ROM, and there's a Recovery console mode to boot into), though RC cannot delete it (it's like Microsoft added a so-called recovery mode to please people, but put no though into making it useful ~_~). However, you could list the services at boottime and disable any that look suspicious. | |||

The DS Lite is easier to hold than the original DS... larger buttons are the main thing. And the stylus is longer and thicker than the original. Pretty much: The big DS has no advantages.
ooh, just today I bought a screwdriver that can open the screw on the DS Lite. whoo, now none of the DSes in this house have that damn health-and-safety screen! |
