I would have guessed that you didn't enter in your MySQL authentication properly, but it all looks fine on the front page. What versions of PHP and MySQL are you using? Could you try using AcmlmBoard 1.a3 instead (download?

KeliChi Kun: Emulation has nothing to do with getting commercial games running (without the real cartridge, that is ). There's several ways to run them on real hardware.

Whoo, DNS on acmlm.org is working again. The server's still acting super-slow though. (btw, acmlm.kicks-ass.org uses the same server as the normal board.acmlm.org)

Ah, thanks for that nice chat with the FBI. They happened to have nothing against me, so off on their merry way did they go.

Spoiler:
I should note, pure sarcasm above. If you've been on the Internet for any length of time, these "threats" are only trolls.

Your intention was to exploit the forum software to your own personal advantage (evading a ban). How is that not cracking?

What hacking would be is reading the forum source code, finding security holes, fixing them, and sharing the fixes to everyone else.

I should nominate Cave Story for the sole reason I never heard of it before and I find it uninteresting. Of course it will be kept, oh the irony.

The e-Reader hasn't yet been emulated properly, so you can't use it in an emulator.

And no, you can't download cards or GBA games.

Solution: $40 e-Reader, $1 cards, foo.

How do you expect people to port it without any source code? Of course it's not possible.

Well, the video files themselves use open-source codecs that are widely available on many platforms (Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, BSD, BeOS, etc)... the emulation files, those are specific to the emulator used and the ROM image used (I prefer to play the runs in an emulator, to get perfect video and audio quality, but I sometimes use the video files when I'm not using Windows or Linux)

Edit: Almost forgot, a real human-played run One hour, 39 minutes

Posted on 08-04-06 10:00 PM, in Burning ISOs in order to emulate PlayStation Link
Actually, an "ISO" doesn't store where the physical location is, it's merely an image of the filesystem on CD-ROMs (the name derives from ISO-9660, the filesystem usually used; the name has almost always been unattached to the filesystem and refers to image-rips of all other filesystems possible too). There's no translation involved, it's already pre-mastered, all you need to do is burn it.

On Mac OS X (and virtually all other Unixes), you can set up a loop device for the file, and probably use that instead of the normal CD-ROM drive to read the PlayStation disc. But why doesn't the emulator allow you to just use the file without messing with a loop device... that's ood.
