Sure it does, DNS is designed to provide resolution of both names and IP addresses. Just as Techo said, the output of whois(1) is:
bash-3.1$ whois 207.38.11.34 --- Yeah, like you've already established, ignore this. I'll go beat myself up over posting while half-asleep. whois queries are not DNS lookups, as often as they might be mistaken as (edited by FreeDOS + on 05-23-06 12:24 AM) |

Well, there are many tools of stripping ROMs of excess padding (eg, zeroes on the end), but it's mostly system-specific for whatever kind you're trying to do.
Now you're looking to remove actual game data (text), this will be very likely game-specific, and if Romhacking.net or Google doesn't have anything about the game, you will probably be on your own to find out yourself. |

Windows. I'm not joking, it just seems to get sluggish over time for no apparent reason. I have a computer with Windows XP not connected to any network, applications are installed rarely (aka usually only when Windows is), yet after about six months it just becomes unbearably slow and the only "solution" is to reinstall
Several people tell me this happens with their Windows machines too, apparently only about 1 of every 1000 people don't experience it. |

Could you try seeing what file has to say about the file? Sometimes it can unmystify some weird file incompatibilities by revealing what's in the file (very useful when you download a video, your media player can't guess the correct codec, use file and manually tell the player what codec the video uses).
Also, perhaps you can try to take a crack into the source code and figure out what the program is doing, and why it is doing it. |

A useless GUI is also a pain. For me, the command line is the best place assemblers and disassemblers belong. Not to mention that they're the easiest programs to port. For an SPC-700 (dis)assembler, the most complex thing is math and file I/O; really the only porting problems you should encounter if you write a program correctly is endianness. Well, most system utilities use KiB, MiB, GiB, TiB, etc instead of KB, MB, GB, TB, etc

Occassionally NSFs, I used to listen to SPCs a lot but there's no decent player for them that works on OpenBSD (when I still used Linux, PlaySPC_GTK was okay, but far from decent).

Yeah, I don't play multiplayer over the Internet, just two controllers on the PC.
Odd that you can't find Doom 64, that should be rather common to get. |

Given that Wii is not yet released, it is way to early to give straight answers (even the console and controllers could be changed before release). Like Thexare said, the virtual console system will most likely be cracked and give you to fake being Nintendo's server and putting your own games and menu on it, yadda. Also, once that is done you could see native homebrew Wii programs; Nintedo themselves say that the virtual console will also be used to provide demos of Wii games (eg, download a Zelda demo, and play up to the first boss or whatever, decide you like the game, and buy the full version)

It'd be the normal ATI drivers, if your card supports OpenGL.

Emulators aren't illegal, free (libre or gratis) or costly proprietary. Granted he might not get a very good name in the emulation community, it's currently legal in most countries. |
