Why hello, I'm ThunderSpeed... I'm well known around the Sonic hacking scene, I hope. I'm a member of SSRG, and a Tech Member of S2B(Formerly SWS2B). I've been hacking Sonic 1 through 68K ASM, as seen in this topic:

I've also been hacking Super Mario World, though I don't have a topic of it anywhere that is viewable by the public. I plan to make a release of this hack once I finish with at least the first 2 'worlds'. I'm not much into the technical workings of the SNES, unfortunately, as I could use that to make my own custom flares to SMW.

Well, here's to getting approved. =P

Ok, to start things off, I have no idea on a title. =P

Screens:

Here's the title screen. Nothing interesting here.

Setting up the story... Sounds like Sonic, he takes a vacation, gets interrupted by a crazed madman/lizard bent on world domination.

Here is the start of the game map. It's due for a makeover, but I'm too lazy to do that part right now. =P

Here comes a message, one that I plan to stick to.

SMB3 pipes, thanks to SpellWerdzRite for cracking and distributing the code.

Here comes the second place.

Original? Yes. Is it gonna stay? Kinda: I no longer have "Emerald City" in this mod, so I'll change it to something else.

You were warned... =P

Pipe dwelling Lakitu and goombas, basically.

Another idea which I've yet to see: Ghost Field.

Here's another shot, showing both ghosts and normal guys.

This one shows smashable bricks, thanks to MikeyK's Block Tool.
It's not based around snazzy new art or innovative technical ideas, but whatever. =P

Questions, comments? I am aware that the item box is messed up, and I have NO idea how to fix it.

Well, as for the demo, there is one more level I wanna finish before I give out demos, but since you asked nicely, I'll let you have the demo soon.

Personally I'm against same-sex classrooms, cause I can't focus when I'm in a class full of guys. I need at least 3 or 4 girls in a room in order to think straight. I was in an all boy school for about a month and I felt very uncomfortable cause some of the guys started hitting on me. =P

I'm completely against it anyways. Even same-sex schools I'm against.

My mistake about Block Tool, I labeled it wrong when I downloaded it.

As for the big space in the middle of the road, that was originally going to be "Emerald City", but I suck at art. =P Besides, the overworld is long overdue for a makeover.

The breakable bricks are good enough for my liking, they aren't too sensitive in my opinion.

The cobrat's don't spit out shy-guys, although thats what it might look like in that shot. They spit out normal Spinys, although I should change those to the hedgehogs/porcupines from SMB2.

As for changing the opening level, any suggestions? I've got nothing, other than maybe Yoshi's house.

Also: The item box was fixed. As for the title, I like the sound of Adventure in Ocean Shire. I might consider it, or something like it.

The demo should be ready soon. I've got all the levels done except the first Ghost House, where you'll fight against one of the bosses. That and I wanna remake the overworld, cause it's horibbly incomplete as of now. =P

New art for the overworld. I'll need to fix up the less detailed sprites, though. Tiles from FFV, ripped by me. It was rather annoying putting forth so much effort to get these bastards in. =P I just realized that good water effects will be very hard to pull off with this tile set. =/

After finishing that area of the overworld to my liking, and edit the ghost house, I should release a demo.

True, I wasn't the original creator of these tiles... but the sheer effort that was put forth to insert them was rediculous almost to the point where it wasn't worth it. =P

Anyways, I drew a large portion of the world map onto paper while I was at school today, so I should easily get more of the world map done. It'd look strange just to see a corner of the world in there. =P

The rom I made the patch from starts with 789C 0042 9C0C 429C 0B42 9C40 219C 4121, if that helps. I forget where I downloaded it though...
