Even though you stated that you can't add MP3's to SNES games, would it be possible to create some sort of music editor? You would edit it like sheet music.

I'm kind of sick of beaver. It doesn't do the traditional CTRL-F to find things and that's been pissing me off. Does anyone know of anything better? I'm not looking for a word processor. I have OpenOffice for that. I'm looking for something that pops up instantly when I want to quickly edit something.

Sometimes
all I want is your
tongue
lashing against my
pasty-white skin.

Other times
all I want to do is
dive into the depths of
your mind
drown
and leave my phantom remains to
sort out your pieces.

And other times
all I want are
memories of a pasty-white tongue
drowning in the remains of your skin
phantoms of lashings from your mind
and diving into hairy depths of
your pieces.

I like Kedit, but it doesn't have tabs. I think I'm going to have to go with gedit. Gvim is annoying. I've heard bad things about emacs, and kate is too cluttered. I'll try that bluefish one I guess.

EDIT: Bluefish is wayyy too much. And besides: I have Quanta for web developement.

We all know who Jack Thompson is and what he stands for, but I have a theory on why he does what he does. Ever notice how he always seems to go after Rockstar games? I think that Jack Thompson may be someone hired by Rockstar games or some other company in the gaming industry to raise publicity about certain games. Think about it: He's been doing an excellent job increasing the sales of GTA and I'm sure everyone wants a copy of Bully now because of his rampage. Besides: I don't think anyone can really be that dumb. His extremity has really made a lot of people question his intelligence and since he's so loud about it, he's heard. Loud and dumb people are always listened to even if they are disagreed with. What do you guys think? Do you think it's possible?

I would go with non-existance. Even the Bible says that Judas (I think it was Judas) would have been better off if he was never born.

Posted on 10-15-06 11:58 PM, in Suicide Vs. Martyrdom Link
Martyrdom is when someone else kills you for your beliefs. It's also a religious thing. You can't be "martyred" for being emo.

Suicide is when you kill yourself because you can't handle your current environment and can't think of another solution to change said environment.

I really don't see how they can be compared other than the fact that they both involve the certain party dying. In one instance you have a choice, the other, you don't. In the Martyr situation, you don't have a choice other than to give up. With Suicide, you have a choice to change your surroundings. Think of the homosexuals. They didn't just go around killing themselves (I'm sure some did, but that's not the point). The majority of homosexuals got together, spoke up and changed their environment to fit their needs. I'd also like to state that this is not a bad thing and it is much more prefurable than curling up and (literally) dying.

I'm looking for a method to cell-shade photographs. Sort of the effect they used in A Scanner Darkly. Whether it be a tutorial on how to do it in Photoshop (or prefurably GIMP) or a program/plugin that renders it for you (prefurred), I'd like to know how to do this.

Posted on 10-25-06 02:37 AM, in Is this possible and how hard would this be? (A Pokemon Fire Red idea) Link
I've been playing Pokemon Fire Red and it got me thinking: How hard would it be to extend the map area to include Johto, change the islands to the south to be the Orange Islands from the TV show, and include all 20 (I believe (8 from Kanto, 8 from Johto, and 4 from the Orange Islands)) badges? Another interesting feature might be a time system (like in GSC), since if I made a hack, I would want it to have ALL of the first 251 Pokemon.

Any thoughts and/or opinions are welcome and appreciated.
