This is weird. When the timer ran out, I didn't die. Why is that? How can I fix it? BTW, I was trying to change the Dungeon music with FCEUXD's Hex editor while I was in World 1's Dungeon.

How do I get the thunder and Lightning effects on certain levels? I know the offset of the Flash Timer in the RAM but I want it to be in certain levels. So how do I do that?

Hmm I guess the Debug Mode was causing that. Anyway, how do I make custom ASM routines? JaSp told me to ask some technical questions that I may need help with....So how do I make custom ASM Routines?

I'm working on a project for Super Mario Bros. 3 and apparently I need help with it.
I want to make an Icy Hilly level like JaSp did with his hack, how do you do that? It's going to be for World 1-2 (The longer version of it will be made for a later world.)
This is the project I want to get done before you try all of World 1's levels.

Hi, I've done some simple ASM hacks for Super Mario Bros. 3 so I want to go ahead and do this one ASM hack I've been trying to do and I need help on it too.
I want to make some lightning flashes in certain levels, the levels I want them flashing are as follows:
Doomships 1-7
Tanks
Battleships
World 8-1
World 8-2
Bowser's Castle (It ends after you beat Bowser but there is no flashing background in the second part of the castle.)
And...
World 8 Dungeon
I really appreciate your help. I need to get it done.

Make the screen flash white for 10 seconds and back to normal.

I have done an ASM hack where you can get the Kuriboh's shoe everytime you step on a P-switch. I've also done one where Mario gains a life everytime you die. BTW never-obsolete I have sent you an E-mail, did you get it?

Hey guys, I need some assistance here. When the summer comes I'm going to be making a game called Link & Zelda, what it basically is. It is a game using Joe & Mac's NES engine but it is going to be made using The Games Factory. I need some help getting my hands on the Joe & Mac NES sprites, so if you guys are interested in helping me out, then I would appreciate it.
P.S. The final Boss is me in a Giant Caveman robot (Which uses the Giant Caveman sprite.)

I'm trying to do it exactly the same way JaSp did. Where it detects whether Nothing ($AB) is the first enemy sprite and if it is then it jumps to the Thunder Routine but if it isn't...Well it doesn't. It's easier that way but I'm still having trouble with it.

That's what I'm trying to do. I also want to get that custom ASM routine to where the Lightning flashes white as you fight Bowser.

That's how JaSp did his routine. The nothing enemy sprite is rarely used so I'm wanting to use it for something.

The Thunder routine. I need to figure out what is wrong with the code and see if deleting the whole level and put Nothing as the first sprite before putting anything else works. (I've got to try that.)

All right. Nothing ($AB) is an enemy that you can put with SMB3 Workshop. JaSp made a routine which checks to see if that sprite is the first enemy sprite in the level and if it is then it jumps to the thunder routine. Now you get what I'm saying?

Exactly. And I still haven't got it to work. Are there other custom ASM routines for the Lightning effects? Because I still don't have it in the levels I wanted yet. DahrkDaiz, what did you do to make the thunder flashes in certain levels of your hack? It might give me a clue on what to do.

Turn Blue X-blocks into Ice blocks that you can slip on
Make the hilly flat land slippery

I already made the palette for it, now I just need the whole level to have a slippery characteristic but I need some more info on that.
