| Hey, I'm new here, just found this site: pretty nice setup the site's got... it's got lots more (useful) content than RomHacking.net and Zophar.
Anyway, I'm HarroSIN. I'm seventeen, and I live in New York. I've been a programmer for some time, and my favorite language is Visual Basic. I submitted a save state editor I created for Super Mario RPG to Acmlm, and I hope it gets looked at by some people: it's my first real application release. So... how's the community here? | Not EVERY aspect of this game is bad, but I would have to say "Shogo: Mobile Armor Division" for PC. It's a very anime looking first person shooter. Not only are the graphics horrible, but so are the scripted sequences, and probably one of the glitchiest games of all time. The voice overs are pretty well done, but it's a shame the rest of the game was pretty crappy. I thought Monolith could of done better than this... but they've been getting kind of sloppy lately (IE. compare a masterpiece like Blood to the horrible Blood 2). | |||

| Scarface. I mean, it was a good movie, but it seems to be talked about a lot more than it did when it was actualy new. Same with Fight Club: most people have never even seen it, but they go around boasting about how great of a movie it is, and ranting on and on about it's memorable quotes ("We don't talk about fight club"). | |||

| I hate how they moved the stop button. It's in the middle of nowhere now next to the address bar. There's also lots of glitches with the Windows shell itself now that's Internet Explorer was upgraded, lots of "Errors on this page" dialogs. If (and they will) they fix this, I'll probably start using it when Vista comes out... I'm a fan of the "phish" feature to report spam websites and block them out. | |||

| I'm not really fond of this new-age American music... I miss the old 80's rock. But I'll make an exception for Japanese rock:

| Game Maker is a decent game making engine. You can do a lot of things with it to make a pretty good platform game or an action/adventure, but that's about it. I've seen some decent The Legend of Zelda clones, but that's pretty much pushing the program to the limit. The application's programming language is also pretty nice, but it also includes a drag and drop interface... it's really organized.
Although, I guess if you really work hard with it (and I've experimented with it), you can probably make a perfect or near-perfect Final Fantasy/Super Mario Bros. clone. |

| IrfanView is a life saver. Not can it open pretty much every type of media extension, it also has great image compression options, and the latest and greatest filters for resizing and resampling them. | |||

| What I remember is that some group of people were making a fan movie, based on The Legend of Zelda, but that was it. I don't think it would make a good live action movie. | |||

| I think you need to explain to him about correcting the palettes to display the correct colors as well. BTW, I would use 'Tile Molester' -- it's a better and really pretty tool for hacking graphics in a ROM. | |||

| I'm thinking about re-subscribing to World of Wacraft. I should of never sold my account in the first place now that I found out so many people I know have started to play it.
Before I did sell (for a crappy amount... $40) the account, I had a level 40 Undead Mage which I played on Bleeding Hollow. Although, I hear that that server is starting to die now and that all the good guilds have switched realms or have rerolled their characters. The only problem is getting a new serial number in order to create a brand new account. Hopefuly I can find one on eBay, or I'll be forced to buy the game all over again ![]() |

| Yeah, I would go with Culex from Super Mario RPG. Not only does he have over four thousand hit points, but he also has the four crystals with him, each with their own individual statistics and element. This makes five tough enemies attacking you at once, if not twice in a single turn. But I think without those Crystals, Culex would be an easy hidden boss to defeat (and thumbs up at Final Fantasy battle and victory music cameo).
I would also have to say that the secret boss Penance from the Final Fantasy X International version is pretty hard to beat as well, if not, the hardest boss next to the game's Yunalesca ( which is probably the hardest boss in any Final Fantasy game to date. Period :x ) |

Trying to defeat your own party in Chrono Cross when you play as Lynx for the first time. Although I've never done it myself, even through the 'New Game Plus', I've heard that it is possible. Although the story does not change at all if you do it, I think your pride does in the fact that you beat... yourself. ![]() |

| If you've never seen any of those animutations (you probably live in a hole then), I suggest you take a look at some of them. Most of them consist of foreign songs (in another language, of course) with random pop culture images and "Engrish" lyrics popping up and flash on the screen. Here are some of the better, lesser known ones:
