Greetings people of Acmlm! I am xpCynic, and I'll admit I've been lurking here for awhile. I recently discovered the wide world of SMW hacking and became fascinated with it all (working on my first hack right now). So uh...not much else to say.

Hmmmm...it was a tough one. I like the castles and Bowser battle in SMW, but a lot of my favorites are in SMB3, particularly the map screens. That dang Pipe Land gets stuck in your head too easily...

I still remember when my Super Mario World game first started showing signs of age. I was some 6 years old and sitting in my room playing on Donut Plains 1, the part with the big flying lesson area, when my game locked up. I sat there wondering "hmm, what could possibly be happening" when suddenly the everything glitched. The entire screen was scrambled and the sound of a block breaking played. I freaked out, turned off the game and ran to my parents. It's been imprinted on my memory forever

I mean, you enter through the mouth of a giant talking tree, there are a bunch of creepy bulbs walking around, a big ugly flower who lies, and then another flower who's being attacked by oddly-colored Monty Moles! If that isn't the weirdest place I've seen in that game... |

Just hope no one's made an EB thread already...anyway, I happen to still like Earthbound. It's one of the few RPGs I've played, and the only thing I've ever gotten off EBay (). It was full of strange enemies, odd humor, and battle scenes that made you go cross-eyed. Well then, what do you think of the game?

I played the older release of this, which was pretty creative with all the rocket boosters and speed boosters, so this looks good. I can't download it right now since I'm at my dad's (where we have dial-up, of all things ), but I'll find time to play it. Hope you fixed the thing where Mario fell through the speed boosters to his death - that gave me lots of problems.

Psssh...it's just slashdot...
There are all sorts of bizarre anime sites I've seen that are much scarier. Although the pink IS kinda scary I guess. ...oh, now I see it. "OMG!!! Ponies!!!" k, more scary than I thought. (edited by xpCynic on 04-01-06 03:12 AM) |

I've been wanting to ask about the theme switching. It's kind of eerie. But at least I'm not getting that error page any more. I was starting to think it was only happening to me

Not only that, but now things are spinning and bouncing around...actually kinda worries me.

I like them, they're nice and colorful. The red one is my favorite, partially cause I like red. Couldn't the koopas use a darker outline? They don't seem to match with the rest of the sprites.

Finally! You know, I used to visit this site pretty often, and one day a while back I noticed a big countdown until Mother 3 at the top. Right now it looks like there are *checks site* 12 days left.

Oh the memories...not very many memories, mind you...
Anyway, I think I watched that show once a LONG time ago (I might have even rented it) and if I remember it was about this kid Mario and Luigi were supposed to babysit, but the kid crawled under the sink and found a warp pipe to the Mushroom Kingdom, so M and L had to rescue him. Kinda corny, but pretty funny. It went off the air ages ago. There was also a live action movie, but it wasn't that great. |

I used to use Nemu, but there were a lot of strange graphics problems, so I switched to PJ64. They're both pretty good though.

Well congratulations dcahrakos. I've never won anything, so even though I have a DS I'm still pretty jealous. There aren't all that many (good) games for the DS yet, so I just use it like a Game Boy Advance. I know how it feels to wait for something, though: I live in Ohio, and I once bought something off Ebay from someone in California

I think it's pretty good! Although it does seem that there are a lot of rocks and little hills, and some of the land looks kinda square. You look like you've got the right idea otherwise.

That's truly amazing. I would have loved to put those in my hack to block off areas, but I just used regular switch blocks and they did what I needed them to do. Good job anyway!
