you stayed up all night huh?
until 2am huh?
wow, you're pretty cool!

ROFL!
I'm sorry, but I don't care how old you are; the fact that you thought you could release an even half-way decent hack after less than one full night's work is so absurd and so hilarious that I just had to register and let you know.

Hi, I just wanted to say that I like the ninja theme idea a whole lot. Perhaps you could even turn the cape-spin into some kind of sword attack. Good luck in any case.

I've never really played any pokemon hacks before, but I have a feeling this is a good one to start with. Only played a little bit, but I remember LoL'ing at the girl in some pokemon who was like, "I'm an IMPULSIVE BUYER. I need physiological help!" or something to that effect. Also I enjoy reading the (at times) poorly translated english (offense not intended )

Hopefully there's more humor like that to be found.

Disabling flight is pretty simple.

I even did it once, though only because more competent hackers provided me with the hex codes and such. Unfortunately, I don't remember how to do it anymore.

Dragons and Ninjas may or may not have any relation with eachother, but I think it would be pretty cool if you changed yoshi's sprite into something resembling an asian style dragon that floats along the ground instead fo walking. Maybe breathes fire or something instead of the tongue attack.

Posted on 03-25-06 06:24 PM, in 2D vs 3D Link
I like to say that 2D games are prone to having better gameplay than 3D games because they can't rely on impressive graphics, cutscenes, and storylines to attract people to buy them. Of course, it's not exactly accurate. What does this have to do with anything? Absolutely nothing.

Now, I'm interested in seeing how many others would like to see a straight up 2D action/adventure game released on a modern generation system such as the PS2 or GCN.

Take some of the greatest (2D) game franchises of all time, like Sonic the Hedgehog and Mario, and imagine how much greater they would be today on one of the aforementioned systems. There could easily be 50+ lengthy, levels; Eye popping backgrounds and foregrounds; Incredibly deep gameplay... the list is practically endless. Pound for pound, a game like that could yield a much greater value than any 3D game of the same price.

What do you think?

Posted on 03-27-06 10:39 AM, in Recording Genesis Videos Link
Hi, I really want to record a video of Sonic the Hedgehog being played by me.

Can anyone recommend a genesis emulator that allows for the creation of gameplay videos, or perhaps some kind of utility specifically for genisis emulators that does the same? If not, even an unrelated program that can record videos of anything from desktop movements to im conversations would work... basically is there any way I can record this video of me playing Sonic?

Please help me, thanks, sorry if I sound n00bish.

ok, um... has it ever occured to anyone that she didn't really mean what she said? my best friend is a girl, and she's told me secrets. ok, if a girl tells your friend she needs to get to know you better... just don't overlook the possibility that she was just being nice or trying to avoid an uncomfortable situation. sorry if this doesn't help much... but i felt the need to point it out since nobody else did.

hi.
first things first, i would like for my username to be restored to what it once was (yop). i'm not sure if you can help me with this, but i read in the faqs that only an administrator can change it. i don't know what happened that it's now 1159.

ok, with that out of the way, i can begin my approval request. if you look at my post history, you will find it's mostly constructive stuff, or at least i didn't post anything that was completely useless or counter-productive.

i may not necessarily post on the smw board, but i would like to have that option available to me. the next 40 days of my life promise to be exceedingly boring, with no good video games being released until october, and i'm thinking about getting back into smw hacking to pass the time.

if approved, i may offer constructive critisism, and if i do need to ask questions i will post them all in a single topic dedicated to that purpose. i understand the need for this approval system, and that many users used to ask questions that could have been answered with minimal research; i'm 20 years old, and i won't go around posting such stupid questions. okay, that about wraps it up i guess.
