My idea was for a darker type of Mario game. The plot, though simple, is that Kamek stumbles upon a spell to seperate the soul from the body, and does so on Mario and Luigi.

The first few levels would appear normal, but Mario can't do anything because he's now a ghost, wandering around. For this I would need to find or make a transparent Mario sprite. He finds his way through this normal world to the underworld.

Enemies he normally can not kill, like Boos or skeleton type eneimes are the ones he can kill, and he wouldn't be able to kill goombas and the like.

Instead of finding the end of the level, I would like to emphasize the use of keys and using keyholes to find his way around this netherworld.

I would also like to use music and backgrounds from Mario's Time Machine and Mario is Missing. I don't know if anyone ever attempted ripping music from either and using them.

Mario is Missing has some real world type graphics, and I like the idea of going through a lot of normal looking cities for a change, except its Ghost Mario so any normal people seen wouldn't see what is going on.

The Fire Flower could easily be changed to a ghostly energy orb type of an attack. The feather would be changed into a set of wings and a halo, giving Mario an angel like appearence.

I hope this was desctiptive enough. I haven't started anything yet, and I was wondering what some of you thought of this idea for a hack. This would be my first hack, and I have little programming experience, so I also post this wanting to know if this is someone a newbie with Lunar Magic can do.

I request you stop giving points when you make a mistake. Had Danielle been more attentive, and thus been a more effective player, she would've noticed that and not guessed that. It's not like this has never happened before... No one should recieve points for making a bad move.
