Mode7 and the regular SNES GPU. Now, I have to ask- How would I add an effect to where it's not amrio, but a selectable 8x8 tile or tiles that are half-visible?

it woudl be cool, but you'd need cartridge RAM to do most likely. See, SMW uses the layer 1 tilemap as botha collision and GFX tilemap, the GFX tilemap used in conjunction with the MAP16 data tables IIRC. And I believe that the platforms the reznor sit on are sprites, and the sprite move in tune with the Mode7 background layer. So, to searate the maps woudl require extra RAM, a repointing of all the pointers in the layer-related GFX routines, and the load-level routine hacked to copy all the data from the gameplay tilemap to the graphical tilemap after the load is finished, and just before the first draw of the level occurs. Due to the way SMW handles GFZX and collision, it's not as hard as it sounds, I should think.

that audio distortion happens on EVERY single computer in the school library too. Probably a crappy product line., and not your fault. just get a REAL sound card.

Ad ISA? holy crap. Well, if you haven't, try looking for ISA drivers for WinXP, and don't forget ISA isnot plug-and-play compatible.

yeah. the title says almsot all of it. whenever I log in, C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM opens up. I've run Msconfig, nothing that opens that program there. Nothing in the start menu under startup, and I haven't hd time to check the registry. Any ideas why that window opens all the time when I log in?

Really? Huh. I'll have to look at that, although I don't relish the thought of corrupted registry entries...

EDIT: Found one. 'bittorrent / " "" --force_Sart_minimized "', which may have been what was causing the error.

Yeah, like the thread asks, are there any things you ever see that just surprise you because they just seem out of place?

Dunno how wierd this is, but yesterday at school there was this guy walking aorund... wearing cat ears. I dunno if that seems out of the ordinary for you, but that's just a *little* off where I live.

That's the first thing I thought too, Danielle.

Didn't see the guy today, but then again, since I've been handlign sound in the Gymnasium for the past 4 hours or so, I guess I never really ahd much of a chance. I also saw a girl who wore Bunny ears taht day... but I've seen her wearing those a lot before.

EDIT: Actually, I'm still expecting for Ailure to see this thread and ask me where I live. You figure out why

Yeah, I 've never really noticed lag here, except for right after the board had the password system changed and it was taking ~30 seconds for the index to load up, server-side.
