OOC: Experimenting with a new writing style.

Although Snipes had been far enough away from the battle beginning in sector 8, he was not far away enough to not notice the pal of smoke drifting over from said sector. "Wht the hell?" Asked Snipes, to no-one in particular.

Stuffing his still-unfixed organizer into his backpack and swinging it across his back, Snipes almost leapt off the bench he was sitting on and began spriting towards the source of the pall of smoke, in case he could help in any way. Being a reploid, after all, Snipes didn't have nearly as many limitations as, say, a human firefighter or whatever. On an idea, Snipes stopped, swung his backpack around, and pulled out one of his two pistals and clipped it to his belt before continuing on.

If anyone is interested... blackhole sent me a couple of 65c816-side routine addresses that would change the SPC700 music bank... I didn't make them work (looking back, I don't think I really coded that block properly). Anyways, I can go back and try to dig them up, there were three rotiens there.. and on eof them was the correct one...

No... When a developer makes an SPC700 program and adds the data he needs to it, said program not only runs directly ont he SPC700 hardware in the SNES (or emu), but reads the data in the format used by the developer. Thus, when you save a .spc file, what is being saved is ALL the data in the .spc, including the program and the data, and then this state is emulated, and the original developer's code translates the data and sends info to the hardware sound registers, which is where your favorite SPC player get the sound in a format IT can use.

And anyways,

JSR $810E

That should load the overworld music bank. If it is the wrong one, try
JSR $80FD
(still in bank 00)
or
JSR $80E8
(same)

If your code is not in bank 00, you'll have to find some few free bytes in there and place a piece of "adapter code" (i.e. JSR $810E; RTL) that you, in turn, can JSL to.

After having the rest of the group he was now with catch up with him, Snieps had remained silent throughout the group's journey... at least until now. "Guys, was I the onyl one who saw a red light blink off of that bug-like thing as it scurried off?" Looking back to Kirbynite, Quint, and Ultimanium, Snipes looked a little worried. "I don't think that whoever runs this little part of the world wil appreciate us being on their turf all that much."

OOC: I just noticed this (wow I'm slow)... Kirbynite was very carefl around quint at first over his programmer at first... but wasn't with snipes, even though snipes too is a reploid. Wj\hy is that?

"You could be a little clearer then... I thought you said you were to be using him for scouting..." Frowning slightly, Snipes relaxed a bit. "Anyways... good idea."

OOC: Well, "I'm a reploid as well" in the middle of conversation with Quint (when Snipes first met you three) isn't exactly noticable ). Not that it would help much... he doesn't know. (there is a sotry to that)

Running towards the source of the smoke, Snipes made it to the gate between the sector he was in and Sector 8. "Hey," yelled Snipes to the guards, "What's going on over there?" recieving no reply, Snieps grunted nad tried again. STILL recieving no reply, Snipes decided to take things into his own hands. running over to the wall itself, Snipes stood up and to anyone watching, appeared to take off from a standing start, straight upwards until he cleared the wall, and flew towards the smoke source, which was on the otehr side of a large rbuilding. By now he had been noticed by the guard on the ground, and they were yelling at him unintelligibly.

I have to try this. From the good comments on SMW central, and how god the ending's suppose dto be, this sounds like a must-play hack.

It works on my version of ZSNES... the latest WIP of it...

Whoops, I forgot to add that here. Thanks, HH. Anyways, I'm just doing some trace on the level load routine... If I find anythign of note (maybe the tile used for filling in blank MAP16) or whatever, I'll post it.

"It was on the top of said spider. But you're right, why woudl the follow us in here... I don't like this much either." Said Snipes.

About that moment a large rumbling began to emanate from deeper within the tunnel, accompanied by the sound of a viscous liquid pouring through atunnel, much like the one the four were in at the moment!

Hmm... I've never had problems fidning drivers for hardware.. Okay, except for my Sis onboard video.. but that's just a POS card anyways.

I can't even run proper 3D. And it's a 3D card... some sort of driver issue, and there are no available drivers for this mobo.
