That's a more advanced command... it's
LDA [$xx], YFor example: Your direct page for this example is $7E00. Say at $7E0000, you have a big-endian 24-bit address to $034F78. Now, if Y is $0000, and you execute the instruction LDA [$00], Y, what do you think will be loaded? The value at $7E0001, or the value at $034F78? If you guessed the latter, you are right. That's because LDA [$00], Y loads a referenced value, incremented by Y. In other words, that instuction loads up the 24-bit address at $7E0000, and then loads the 8- or 16-bit value at the address just loaded PLUS the Y, similar to (LDA $xxxxxx, X). Clear as mud, right? |

| I couldn't do it in WinXP, but in Windfows 98SE, just make a .BMP in Paint and rename it to .ico. I can't remember though if the colour #000000 was transparent or the the colour matchign the pixel at 0,0 though... | |||

| Okay, so I bought a pratically new (never used) iOmega Parallel ZIP100 drive from this lady who's having a garage sale while I'm on vacation. I get home, and my computer decided then, of all times, to have it's secondary IDE channel (dual fifo) [WTF is fifo?] malfunction... brilliant, now I lost both CD-ROM drives.
Not a problem, the installation program in on a floppy disk for Win95... however, now the floppy drive won't work. Sh*t. (Amazingly, the hard drives and network didn't fail...) Well, copy the files onto the drive through my network. Install the drive. Yay. Itr works perfectly. Now, here's the fucked-up part: I start 1-step backup... and configure and satart it. Now, "My Computer" is still open in the background. asI watch it... *POP*! All of a sudden, my two CD-ROM drives pop up (F:\ and G:\ now). So... I try to access one. I get the standard Error: No CD-ROM message... so I pop in a disk and access it. it all works now. Does anyone know why my secondary ID channel did that? (NOTE: I cut out cursing, multiple restarts, and that sort of thing) It just... hot-fixed itself. |

| You'd... need to learn 65816 ASM and make the fix yourself wtfweb. And for the record, MoN, goldensunboy, and I all have ASM knowledge (I believe) | |||

| wtfweb, try reading my ASM tutorial. Practice hard enough, and you'll have the coding skills to make the JSL happen... as for finding out which code to execute/change, that would be the hard part. | |||

| Nope, not at all: It happened again (sort of).
I boot up my computer and wow, whaddaya know, I don't have the CD-ROM drives anymore. "Fuck it" I say, and reboot via the shut down menu. I log in, open up My Computer. There are the CD-ROM drives, ready to go. Figure that one out ![]() |

| Hmmm... For a long while I was running Two CD-ROM drives, two hard drives, about 4 PCI/ISA cards, and 6 LED fans off a 180W PSU... but whenever I fiddled witht he components, it took me several tries bfore the PSU would reliably come on... Then I bought a $58 (well, $57.50 after tax, to be exact) 350W PSU and haven't had any problems since. 'cept for stupid windows/hardware issues. | |||

| Good, but as others have said, the feet look like bread rolls, and the moustache needs work.
Maybe darken it a bit? Make it stand out a little more? |

| "I've been ready for a while."
Getting up, Snipes walked over to the doorframe of Salaheem's office and stepped outside. walking forward, Snipes (to someone out of the know) appeared to simply start floating off of the ground. Of course, to those who DID know, it was just the repulsors in Snipe's feet activating. Gaining momentum, Snipes was soon down the stairs and hovering a good foot off of the ground. |

| Actually, the sprites all store their tile numbers into a buffer starting at $7E0300 in RAM, what what I've seen in all of MikeyK's custom sprites. Just hack in another RAM table to the routine that the sprites call after adding tiles to the SMW OAM buffer, and then hacker the buffering code to re-write the tile numbers as needed perhaps. Then you wouldn't even need to touch the sprites. | |||

| The direct page register is 16-bit, and coupled with a one byte address, becomes $dd:ddbb, where dddd is the direct page register and bb is the address byte.
Alsxo, the line $00/C0EF 97 6B STA [$6B],y[$7E:C987] Y:0187 P:envMxdizC Means that at the direct page + $6B is the 24-bit address $7E:C987. So, if the direct page was $7E00, then at $7E006B would be $87 $C9 $7E. |

| What comes before that first byte, $A9?
LDA #SOUNDEFFECT STA $SOUNDBUFFER Heh, how simple and yet how effective. Hey, where's the pointer table for the two entries? |

| slightly wrong.
7E:0300 is a RAM address, where SMW stores the tiles to be drawn before actually doing so in a fair-sized table. |

| 129. I thought it was that the grape was the only fruit-thing without a furry..ish-type layer on it's outside. So I picked grape. I couldn't figure out the one with the grid of dots however... So I picked the one that had a straight diagonal. |
