maybe try div class="banner" or something similar to that? I know for accessing all of my CSS settings, I use "class", not "style".

Sometimes I just get hiccups for no apparent reason, although it's usually after drinking water.

I just hold my breath as long as possible, let it out, and repeat until they go away.

That's a very nice poem. I liked it.

BTW, who was it about? I kinda thought it suggested Sally Acorn, myself.

OK, since I'm working on the controller override ASM right now, I need some input.

First off, this is an ASM hack that will allow you to control what mario does with your own code, which can use 3 bytes of RAM to control Mario's actions.

Secondly, this code will grant you access to 4 more buttons, in a way, as I will leave room for 4 JSL's to your own custom code, with which you can act upon these 'buttons' from your own code, and you can set them via your own code. These 4 JSL's will always be executed, regardless regardless of whether the override itelf is switched on or off, and regardless of override mode. Not only that, but as they are executed at the end of the override code, and after the regular controller input code, you can do even more than what comes already installed into the override ASM!

Anyways, what I would like to know is which kinds of effects you would like to see made available by default. The current modes I'm adding are:

  • Off
  • Straight Override
  • Scramble regular inputs
  • Reverse regular inputs

Please add in any suggestions for new modes or features to add to the override ASM.

d4 did an experimental mp3 player for SMW, but is was too buggy and incompatible with regular gameplay SFX, so he cancelled, AFAIK.

And no, blackhole89 isn't working on solar soundtrack to insert mp3's, just to change the music using the current format already there.

Umm... I use a pentium 200mz with a 2-mb videocard. It doesn't support 3-D, trust me. I tried.

Go you. VB6 rocks.

Yeah, I just want to know what you guys think of this:

I've been thinking about blocktool and how slow it is with a lot of blocks to check, and thought of a new routine that would work better. Basically, it uses a 16Kbn table that uses 4-byte entries: One byte for if there is a custom block set for a specific block number, and a 3-byte entry for the location in the ROM of the ASM code for the block.

The code would simply take the MAP16 number, and use the SNES's 8/16 -> 24 bit multiplication coprocessor to find a block's address, then check that block number to see if there is a block for that tile. If so, the code would then copy $22 and the address to RAM, jump there, do the code, and then jump back to finish running the block. If there was no block for that tile,. nothing would happen.

Although this idea would need all-new blocks to support it's needing a JSL instead of a JSR, and therefore RTL's instead of RTS's, there would not be slowdown, regardless of how many custom blocks you actually have in your hack.

Oh, and credit for the inspiration goes to sendy for Her complaint about the lag that results from too many custom blocks.

Try reading qwertie's hardware doc. It'll tell you all you need to know about the CGRAM, OAM, and moer, and how to use them.

It's on zophars.

Ya... the CGRAM should be accessible through a palette dialog or something, maybe, and the OAM isn't in the VRAM's 64K or memory... ok for something to do with sprites.

SSBM = 1337.

lag sucks, and SSB always had major lag. For moi, anyways- with a 4mb RAM turbo pack.

Well, when I get this working, I could set up a VB6 program to work with the blocks, and also accept hexadecimal block numbers, since all you'd need to do is

a = VAL("&h" + text1.text) and that. There, you can now input Hexadecimal block numbers into your program. Or code similar to that.

I've never really wanted a girlfriend, since I grew up without any friends for a long time, and although I have friends now, I still do very well on my own, so I just never bothered.

When I finish the code for this version of blocktool, I could send you it.

Also, I could modify it to wsork with existing blocks, and use JSR's instead of JSL's.
