OOC: So much for homework... Heh, rolling the die was a good idea.

Watching the bandits run off with a sense of relief, Snipes turned back to his original targets, and put his gun away. Now that his repoulsors were enabled, there was no point going back to walking. Snipes casually flew (well, it looked like he was simply gliding across the ground without moving) towards where he thought the other party had gone.

"Idiots. Now, where was I?"

EDIT: Hindsight is 20-20. I removed a bit from my OOC.

I've done that... Made an entire level in Lunar magic without a mouse, MAP16 and all. Certainly fun, but I do have to prefer the real thing.

No, the level came out fine. besides, it was because another mouse's batteries died, so I was forced to give mine up for a bit. that's okaty though, I went from a trackball mouse (crappy one), to a laser mouse with scroll wheel, USB. It was all good in the end.

NumKeys is quite helpful in situations like that.

SH, I can work on a bit of DMA for luigi... If someone can get me a GFX file and help me get it the locations of the GFX decompression routine, and the ExGFX pointer lists, I can get Luigi to have special GFX.

As Snipes was gliding up the hill, his repulsors just... gave out on him. Not expecting this, Snipes Fell to the ground, not dazed, but in a state of shock at his sudden equipment failure.

"Wha...? [expletive]. [expletive] [expletive] [expletive]!"

After his initial outburst, Snieps sat down, and twisted his left leg so he could see his foot. It wasn't pretty. The main systems on it (This will all be explained away, trust me) were completely toasted, and a blue fluid leaked slightly, covering a small section of Snipes' foot.

"Gaddamn... That's a major repair right there... No more floating through life for now."

Easing himself up, Snipes looked around, but all he could see was a cave... So, naturally, Snipes walked (more like stumbled) towards the cave. Getting close, Snipes could swear that he heard the same voices as before.

OOC: Damn school

When danielle's army had come up towards the cave, Snipes has stubmbled his way around to behind a boulder, hoping he hadn't been seen. That army of hers didn't look all to inviting, and in his current condition, Snipes was in no mood to fight, if he could avoid it. Now, wiht his back pressed against the wall, Snipes could hear the soldiers coming closer, looking for a way into the blocked-off cave.

~Damn! How do I get out of this?~

As Snipes peeked around the corner of the boulder, He came face-to-face with one of the 'red army' soldiers. Surprised, Snipes tumbled backwards, landing on his rear. Scrambling backwards, Snipes drew himself up against the wall, and moved his hands to where he could grab his weapons easily if he needed to.

1 minute... but before you critisize me, I based that off a previous 5-second Max. performance by the exact same hardware (or so I should think) before. either way, that boot disk was able to get me into setup, before I shut the computer down because I needed to get to sleep.

Nice picture. The detail level is quite nice. I don't get with the Ailure thing, but... I'll figure it out eventually.

Am I the only one who looked up the source for the link?

~Great~

"Well, I'd love to help you, but I have a few problems of my own. First off, I don't even know here I am, and secondly, I'm afraid I don't know any other way in. I guess I have all the luck, don't I?"

~Oh, god, I'm screwed is she tries anything...~

"I'd be more than happy to help you though, if not for some damage to my shoes. Seems that without them, I can't go looking around for you. Perhaps I should explain."

With that, Snipes lifted up one of his feet long enough for the mystery woman to get a look at them, and then put it back down, wincing.

"You see, these let me fly. Before you get too excited, I will help you any way I still can if you can help me"

"I guess I'm [expletive], then. I really don't know."

~Thought so. Great, how do I figure my way out of this? Repulsors are out... Auto-repair... Out. At least the heat's not bad... yet. Best to bluff my way out of the sauna, though. No, that could make her use something worse...~

Still debating what to do, with the heat around him increasing, Snieps decided the best bet was to take the heat for then.

~What about smoke? I have a couple smoke grenades on me... No, those are my last ones. Only if I absolutely have to.~

Still deadlocked, Snieps made no other action.

OOC: For those of you I lost... It'll all be revealed shortly, if danielle increases the temperature high enough to start a fire.

OOC: sorry for the long break

Unable to move, snipes was caught in the blast. His clothes burning, up, snipes pulled out one of his pistols, and fired one energy beam at the woman who was trying to burn him to a crisp.

If danielle could see what Snipes was under the clothes, she might have been a little confused. Snipes, under the clothes, was a reploid. grabbing his other pictol, Snipes took a second shot at the woman, before limping, still very hot, away from the withering flames.

"Bitch."

nah, I got the setup to come up with the boot disk... it took all of 5 seconds, with the CD-ROM drive's spin-up time.

umm.... I can't get on here much, since I'm grounded off the computer at home, and school really keeps me busy. Sorry guys, but I think I'll have to leave, because I can't get on enough to warrant staying in this story, i think it pulls you guys around too much.

eh... On the topic of the GS, does anyone have a copy of the gameshark PC software, or know where to get a copy? Last I checked it was free, but by the time I got to downloading it it didn't seem to be on their site anymore.

Here, I placed kawa's code into a function for you to use.

Public Function Halve(input As String)
' This function returns a string array. to use, dimension a dynamic string array, i.e.
' Aim array() as string.
' Then
' array = Halve("string")

' This will return array(0) = "str", array(1) = "ing".

' Declare variables
dim internalarray(1) As String, internala as integer

' Find missle point.
internala = (Len(input) - (Len(input) Mod 2)) / 2

' Split the input string
internalarray(0) = left(input, internala)
internalarray(1) = Right(input, Len(input) - internala)

' And return the new data.
Halve = internalarray
End Function

That should work for you.
