| Well, I wonder what his troops will have to say to that.
"Sir, are you feeling all right?" |

| Oi.
That's nasty. Well, at least it wound up all right in the end, mostly. At least we all know now not to do that in future. |

| Wow, that's just freaky.
I'd probably take that to the cops, and when it's not needed by them anymore, wipe all of those files.... |

| ...I got lost on "a license to spread them"... I'm assuming you mean that if their maker decided that he would allow people to spread them around, that would be the equivalent of a license?
Sorry, but This is all quite new to me. |

| No, those are not "this event" colours. Those blue marks signify tiles that have already been displayed before your current one, and red one are for tiles that have not shown up yet in the L2 event editor. | |||

| Um, I DL'ed it, and the palettes are way screwed up.
Any help on fixing that? EDIT: And all the tilemaps are screwed too. Phear the bad tilemaps! (edited by Sukasa + on 02-10-06 11:49 AM) |

| Actually, I said the sub/main screen stuff because I caused and then fixed that problem while messing around with the two transparent level modes.
Perhaps I'm wrong, but... That's just how I understood what was happening. Also, I should have mentioned the PPU part of the screens too. Thanks, blackhole89. |

| So... Fu did make it essentially a LoROM, but stored custom ASM in the HiROM parts? Meh- just disassemble the ROM into chunks, then look though the HiROM parts for the code, then search for it in an unmodified DWTLC ROM, then look for a JSL to the area by placing an execution breakpoint on the code in Geiger's SNES9X debugger.
Then, convert DWTLC to LoROM, copy over the code, RATS it, and re-point the JSL(s) as needed. |

| No, I am definitely using a headered ROM.
After all, LM could open it to get the GFX. |

| Yeah, sort of a "Level up" from regular blocktool, because that's what blocktool W is, really. After all, no slowdown, more blocks available (from the blocktool SNES side code, it seemed like 255 blocks was the maximum. (Not with blocktool W, the new max is $1000) (edited by Sukasa + on 02-10-06 08:24 PM) |

| Yeah, but I'll bet that tile 0,0 (and the next couple) on Layer 1 won't get moved around in RAM, right? Those blocks should be safe to hardcode. | |||

| No, this was a vanilla SMW ROM with just a few level changes with LM.
I will have to send you a link to the .smc in private, I don't have LIPS on thsi computer. |

| No, I won't.
I'm not allowed to DL anythign to this compy... All these files were from an old, old backup of my pentium, plus LM 1.63 on another backup, a later one. |

| Yeah, I found two episodes of this at the local store, $3 apiece, and it looks kinda interesting...
Before I buy it (I hate really tight budgets), has anyone else ever seen this / has it, and could let me know if I should get it or not? |

| My question on SRF is, has anyone ever documented anythign on this game?
If not, I'll look into learning a bit about the SFX chip and how SRF works... I bought a copy recently for the real thing, and it was an awesome game, and looked like it would be a great way to do a racing game hack, but the thing is, I don't want to reinvent the wheel. |

I have never had anything like that happen to me. Ever. WTH was Setzer's demo doing?! |

| Ah.
Well, I'll spend some time with it, and see if I can do anything with it. That game is 1337, although the master difficulty is truly har (as if I'll ever get to it again, I broke the battery cart-hacking it to the back of the PCB ... pinholes suck.)
Anyways, while I'm at it, does anyone have any pointers for me? I know this is a big project, and especially since I have little-to-no 3D experience. Still, I'm not going to consider giving up, so please don't say anythign like that to me. |
