| MP6. I rented MP7 just now, and it's a little diappointing, to be honest.
Just not as complete-feeling as MP6 was. |

| Y'know, "the programmer" is likely Fu (programmer of LM), so I wonder if F9 has another purpose... MAP16 didn't really do anything with actual pointers, except to which tile to use, since the act like setting was read, but not as a "go to" setting...
The 3 keys and the sprites is likely just the sprite editing easter egg in the MAP16 editor that changes the way the sprites are displayed in LM. |

| Like the title suggests, I'm working on some code to convert a PC address into a SNES LoROM address for SMW, but when I try to get the bank number, I can either get it correctly in decimal, or way off in hex. I'm working with qbasic right now, and the code does this to get the bank number:
LET SNES = (PC - (PC MOD &H8000) / &H8000 ' get decimal bank number LET SNES$ = STR$(SNES) ' get decimal bank number, string form That works perfectly fine, as does the rest of the code, but only if I want the bank number to be decimal (the code to get the lower 16 bits of the address works perfectly, and outputs hex). However, LET SNES$ = HEX$(SNES) in place of LET SNES$ = STR$(SNES) puts out this, when &H316557 is the input PC address: FFFFFF9E:E557 Also, if STR$ is used, it gives me 98:E557. instead of 62:E557, which is what Lunar address gives me. Could anyone please tell me what I am doing wrong? I tried HEX$(&H100000000 - SNES), but it got an overflow error (presumably because &H100000000 is a 33-bit number, on a 32-bit proc). |

| Copyright issues over ASM hacks for SMW?
riiiiiiiiiiiight. anyways, it shouldn't really be a problem, otherise why would they be made available for everyone to use in their hacks? |

Oops- rotting fruit isn't good for books, and got thrown out, all 7 books did. |

| Ah. I'm using qbasic right now, since that's easily available to me for quick stuff. I will try your bank calcultion method, I just hope the HEX$() won't mess up like it has been.
EDIT: I think I know one problem: It keeps using 16-bit numbers. Print &HA000 gives me -24576 or something similar to that. No wonder- If it ran in 32-bit natively, I wouldn't have had any problems in the first place! (edited by Sukasa on 12-17-05 02:09 AM) |

| Yeah, I found this bug after working with the Palette editor. After using cntl-click so select a color to the clipboard, even if you don't hold down control, LM stills acts like you are until you copy somethign new to the clipboard. The way the help file is worded, it sounds like you have to also hole down cntl-rightclick to plaste from the clipboard, but that's not entirely true. | |||

| OK, my first thread here. Basically, the idea is that someone posts a few lines describing a certain something, and everyone else has to guess what they are describing. Whoever gets it correct, describes the next thing, and so on.
Some of the dscriptions can be difficult, so please give a few hints out if it's too hard! Riddle 1: Choose one side, and get blown up. Choose the other, and get blown up. Don't choose a side, get blown up faster. What is it? NOTE: Because some people might have different opinions of this topic, I can't help it if you view it differently from me. That's one of the quirks of this game. |

| Apofisu got it. After all, it seems like every other bomb or missile in the iraq war hit a civilian or two, right? I think it's pretty sad, actually.
Apofisu, what's the next riddle? |

| Hmmm, I missed that bit. I just found it incredibly annoying when I was trying to copy palettes, since then I had to hold down control for it to work. | |||

| Nah, I use SNES as a base for the calculations, but the final result is a String, SNES$. Do you know how to make a variable 32 bit? I have rebuilt this computer, and although I didn't install and OS'es onto it, I know that the processor IS a 32 bit proc. SNES is just used because I wondered if converting to a string and back all the time was casing a problem, but the original code only had PC and SNES$, not PC, SNES$, and SNES.
EDIT: Oh, and I tried using the decimal form of it. It screwed that up, too. (edited by Sukasa on 12-17-05 03:06 PM) |

| I just got a bit of money from my aunt, and I'm thinking of getting a small MIDI interface for my computer, so that I can make use of my Keyboard's General MIDI features. My question is, does anyone have any suggestions on a good interface? I'm using WIN98SE on an older Pentium 200Mhz. | |||

Hmmm... I'l add one more rule: Whoever had the question before the crrent one (In this case, me) cannot guess the current question, to make sure more than two people get the chance to ask questions. With that said, I know what this is. ![]() |
