| Perhaps I should rephrase this: Does anyone know where in SMW the Layer 2 data for the overworld is kept? I know that gets reloaded every time you enter the OW, as I can use savestates, move to a level and back, and have the OW change. | |||

| Too cool. So, that's the speed of the walls moving inward? Radical. Now, which of those two values actually changes the speed, and what does the other one do, assuming that they are 2 8-bit numbers, or are they opcodes?
EDIT: What were they before you changed them? (edited by Sukasa on 01-07-06 12:05 AM) |

| Reloc...? Ummm.... I guess I'd have to either add in a mini-emulator that traces through the code, or change the format to be two entries- one for the jump instructions's address, and one for which line to change it to. | |||

| Yeah... I got back my computer from discovery computers, and well... everything I had is gone. That's it. Boom, no chance. apart from SMWOE, actually, everything is gone. No more ExGFX, no more anything. Boom.
SMWOE is on my school compy, so I will finish that... but I don't think you'll hear much from me after this regarding any hacks... That's it for me. |

| Backups? I didn't feel I had to make one- I never said they were allowed to delete anything, but then the dumb bastards go and erase and reformat one drive, and erase and re-make the primary DOS partition on the other.
'Course, they also screwed up the drive physically, and messed up the windows installation as well. Oh, and I was about a month away from finishing it, too. Not that i'd stay homeless though, but to have your entire last 1 1/2 years utterly annihilated at the touch of a button, then having the guys blame it on you, that's tough. I've one chance left to get the data back, with a different company, ITC. If they can get the data off the drive with something like partition magic or R-STUDIO or something, that'd mean that I wouldn't have to cancel the hacks, but... Don't count on it ![]() |

| Unless something changes soon, Peter, you can just label COTMK 1/2 as cancelled. | |||

Oh, and court... that's already been mentioned to them. |

| Well... ITC is supposed to have professional data recovery... hopefully I can still get the data off the drive it was on (which was it... I can't tell which used to be the salve and which was the master- the slave had my most important files) | |||

| Funny- my system is similar to yours. You start off with a Script header, which has filenames of the script to execute and .bin files to use. your script can have the program look for a length of free space, insert .bin's, change Hex, add in JSL's and that, as well as use If...Then logic for other tags, such as a set of tags to point where in the ROM to keep a table of PC addresses of .bin locations or whatever, for filing uses. | |||

| I'd likely be the middle-aged brother who's always somewhere else, doing his own thing, and who always knows more about what is going on than most anyone else, because I do pay attention to things, although it may not seems like it. | |||

I'm working on a program in VB that takes a hex address and converts it to all capitals, incase the user wasn't presing down SHIFT, but my problem is that text1.text = UCase(text1.text) does the capitalization, but sets the cursor to the beginning of the string, so if someone types in FDA, it'll appear as ADF and be processed like that, as the cursor is always at the front. How do I make the program move the cursor to the end of the string in the text box every time it goes through a text1_change() event?
The full code of the sub is as follows: A is a numeric variable, b is a string variable. Text1_Change()
So, If I pressed ADF, the cursor ould be at the beginning, followed by FDA. how can I make it so that the display would instead be ADF, followed by the cursor? |

| Thanks very much, Kawa.
EDIT: Oh damn, that only works when I enter a number... With either A, B, C, D, E, or F, it still encounters that bug. (edited by Sukasa on 01-11-06 02:37 PM) |

| Yea, I also have a copy I DL'ed from freewebs that was a bu-fix patch for FuSoYa, related to MAP16++ messing up and crashing past MAP16 page 2, so that's pretty good, I guess. | |||

I figured it out. I should'a just paid more attention to my other project there. What wored for me no matter what was the two lines
text1.SetFocus
That works all the time. (BTW, SMWOE is almost ready, I just need to finish the jump height controls, as well as add in a few more offsets and switches.) |

| Why? that can just use the home key or something, or the mouse, just like I did, right? The mouse and those keys don't invoke the event, so...
I have a new question: I have a form I'm making as an about form, but how do I ake it so the user can click and hold on the form and drag it? It's set to style="0", which is the borderless style. |
