It probely uses some sort of I/O calls to control the LED panel. Try getting an I/O spy or something to see what its sending to it. Just a guess though.

- Windows Tripple Click Bug (Mouse button mysteriously clicks 3 times on everything, you must reinstall windows to fix it.)
- VB6 Re-Registering the same OCX controls over and over every time you compile a user control. So you have like 2000 registry keys in the CLSID, all for your user control.
- When you drag items on IE's quicklaunce bar, they sometimes have a semi transparent image of when you drag it, and it gets stuck on your screen. You have to kill explorer.exe and reload it to get rid of it.
- When you have Windows XP start bar set to classic mode, the Recent Files List is allowed to get bigger then normal, infact it sometimes scrolls and takes up the entire screen.
- Tooltips on the taskbar dont show up, I WANT THE DATE DAMNIT!!
- ATI TV and ATIMMC.EXE randomly freezes while i'm trying to watch TV, and there is simply no possible way to kill it in Task Manager. DONT EVEN TRY, it won't let you kill it. It's almost like a virus made by ATI.
- When you switch themes and winamp is open, you cant drag winamp to the top of your screen, there is like a 10 pixel gap you cant get rid of.
- Winamp has crappy equilizer presets.
- "DJ Java Decompiler" used to be a free program, now the dickwad is charging for it.
- Programs that are a trail period and over 95% of the program is disabled. How am I sopossed to know if I like it if almost everything is disabled and I can only use it for 5 days? F**K YOU I WONT BUY YOUR S**T!!
- ATI Video Card Drivers SUCK!! ALL OF EM! ESPECIALLY CATYLIST
- QuickTime Movies lock up my computer!! DONT PUT QUICK TIME MOVIES ON THE INTERNET!!!
- Most tech support places for the computer using idiots in Bangel, India and they don't speak english that well.
- Instructions are written for so many languages they usually dont make sense at all because they had to make enough room to write it in 8 languages XD.
- School computers are usually peices of junk, some are older then you!
- Schools that wait until there mainframe is obsolete then complain it will cost a fortune to replace it.
- Schools that give you only 5 MB of space on the server!
- Schools that are dumb enough to make an easy password system.
- America Online sending me those crappy CD's every month...I DONT WANT AOL!!!

Well, i'm only asking because sometimes Linux Geeks will make little drivers and programs for stuff like that. I'm sure some Linux geek out there somewhere has released an open source app for controlling the LED panel on the front of that laptop.

Sounds like the filesystem on the flash drive has become corrupted, or the flash memory has a defect and is failing. Or it could be dirty connectors on the thumb drive causing slight problems. Try backing up the data on it, formatting it, then putting the stuff back on. If you still experiance problems, check if the pins are dirty and use rubbing alchohol and a q-tip to clean anything off them.

You don't happen to have a guide or any information on the format of the scripts? There isn't anything about it written down anywhere on the 'net that is findable. :/

(EDIT: Just to make it clear to people who'll just go "hay use xxyy script editor" that isn't designed for this game, this is for Pokemon Red/Blue, as I know there are editors out for almost every other version of Pokemon. Sorry if this seems a harsh addition to this post, but I can see a reply to this containing useless information already... Sorry again.


Well the scripts in Red/Blue appear to just be Z80 assembly code mixed in with the actual map data. Also, all map related data, Objects, Scripts, headers, must all be in the same ROM bank together. Since the data in Red/Blue is aligned on 16 KB banks, there is usually some free space at the end of each bank. Leaving room for more maps. Not to mention in the map bank there is like 20 free slots for new maps to be added.

Somebody must be doing a denial of service attack on his host, or else they are doing routine maintenance, or an unforeseen hardware failure. There are many, many, many reasons a site disappears. The best guess in this situation is Denial of Service attack, maintenance or a technical failure of some kind.

Well I'm being unusually nice today, so once you've opened Advance-Text and opened the ROM, click "Search". Type in the name of the pokemon you want to edit, such as BULBASAUR, it should find an offset, displayed in the status bar, it should say something like "Result: Found at Offset 2060663 (Decimal)!". Then click the button, "Write 2 INI" located on the status bar. It should bring up a dialog for adding to the INI, for name of section just do something like "Pokémon Names", and for name of text just do "Bulbasaur" or whatever name you want to edit. Finally click "Add to Ini". You should now see the section "Pokémon Names" on the list, and click on it, you should see the text in the textbox on the right, now you may edit! Then click "Save Text" when you are done editing that name.

If you still dont understand, I really dont have any patience to simplify it any further.
