Hello everyone ^^

I'm Shiryu and I just joined to these forum...

to tell the truth I was watching these forums from long time ago, and watched the progress of awesome proyects (such as the SuperMario64 Level Editor) But I never registered...

About me I can tell I'm from Spain and I use RPGMaker and Gamemaker. ^^

Also I'm a bit experienced with rom hacking, I'm doing some hacks (but there aren't anything great...). But the most i know is making cheat codes ^^ I had made hundreds of them for SNES and some for N64. And they go from the boring unlimited lives thing (but It's really not the ussual) to "mini-hacks" including weird efects, getting beta stuff and altering completely the game logic ^^

Well, I hope that we become friends and if you need my hepl for whatever just tell me ok? ^^

no, it's the name of my character, is from a story that me and my brother are making ^^ It's like a mix of RPG and anime where a group of friends (well, they don't know each other at start, but they are getting friends ^^) must travel through the diferent worlds and time to save the universe from the darkness (strange, doesn't it?)^^

about to post the whole story would be kinda hard... becouse we're doing it from about 5 years! XD it's really that long... (and it's not finished... XD)

I don't know if this goes here... anyways I'll post...

I had made some cheats, i will post the name of a cheat, the code and the description. if you se an "??" as the vaule of the cheat, that means you have to replace it with a vaule to change it's propertipes.
here we go:

- Play in the demo
00D7A678
I think that almost everyone here knows this... To play in the demo you have to make Mario lose in any way. This cheat makes him unable to jump. When he loses you will be the demo player, remember to deactivate the cheat or you won't jump. you will have unlimited lives and time and there's no way to finish the stage (well... if you haven't hacked it of course)You will need to reset to get out there.

- Flying Mario
00D7A6EF
This makes Mario to fly upwards at any time, but this doesn't wotk when you have the cape.

- Jump height modifier
00D7A6 ??
the left part is the address and the right part the vaule. This modifies how high you jump. Here are some vaules:
04-Small jump
02-Super jump
01-Mega jump
00-Unlimited jump (jump as high as you want)

-Be almost always invencible

makes you invencible, there's one problem with the stage music and you will be vulnerable in one frame where the efect of the star is fading out.

This can change the sprite that a block uses. the address is the block and the vaule its sprite. I will give the [?] block address as reference (7E0D7B). just change a bit this adress to change wich block you want to edit. And I'll put the / line guide to vaule reference (AC). Change those to change any block sprite. ^^

This is the weirdest cheat I ever have done, this thing works in whatever it wants.
At the start of the stage, a flashing pink Koopa wil fall from the sky... Be careful, with it, since if you jump over it it kills you... he is invencible, well... there's only one way to kill it...
Anyways, when it apears it will fall from the screen at a moment. after that, he can get into anything, changing completely it's logic. for example he can get into one of the sumo brother's fire and then the fire will be rising from any place during some time...
and do NOT EVER MODIFY THIS CHEAT!!

The usual, unlimited time, don't disble this cheat in a room withouht time or the M will change into a 4. Modifing this cheat can cause random things to happen with the time.

every coin you get gives an 1 up... it's a boring one, I know...

Changes instantly the backround color, it's like changing it in Lunar magic (without custom palletes, of course)

There are 2 codes, one is for the first fireball and the other for the second (that means the game is hard-coded to make Mario able to shoot only 2 fireballs... -.-)
FC-Luigi's fireballs
F0-Flying fireballs (a bit upwards)
C8-Upwards Fireballs (they go like the normal ones but upwards, they don't bounce on the ceiling)
01-Like Luigi's ones but they go a bit down
7F-Downwards fireballs (they go very fast and straight to the ground. They can even go throught some tiles)

yeah... I know there are hundreds of SMW cheat codes... and it won't be a big surprise if I find ones of mines there... But I have made ones that I'm sure that they aren't anywhere.

well, they keep the original ones stile, which is good, but... Why are they facing to the front? o.O
Maybe you could use them to make them climb in fences, like the koopas ^^

The front view idea seems cool... but it would need a huge ASM knowledge...

It's an original concept XD Mario is now old

Everything is fine, but the problem is the palletes, you can create an awesome level but if the palletes are bad then everything is bad... you have to improve them.
Also you should change some graphics, in the 9 screenshot i see a bigboo's mouth floating nowhere, you can use ExGraphics to fix it.

Or you can use nesten, go to the palete editor and look for the pallete vaules, search them and edit them in a hex editor.

I want to edit the pokemon and trainers battle sprites in pokemon red and blue.
I've search everywhere a thousand times but i didn't found anything. I tried to find them by myself but the most close I got was the atack tiles...
Are them compressed or something? If so, how can I edit them?

I know there are thousands of hacks of this game, but whatever.
I'm making a Super Mario Bros hack with new graphics, some of them are custom by me, and others are edited from other games.
here are some screenshots (the stages are not edited, I'm working on the tiles):

those weird blocks over mario looks bad becouse the frame they are.

that cloud was pain to make... =_=

a castle.

notice that the color of the text has changed to a depper blue ^^

Islands and a bridge (Mario is invisible becouse i got hit accidentally by one of those stupid red fishes... )

more islands (they look better in the game...)

Please comment and tell me how to improve ^^

actually i have to do something with the text becouse in world 3 half of it is invisible... But the font looks so cool...
And the ? blocks (well... they aren't ? anymore) they look crapy without a black background...
