You should have seen its heyday. Quite a while ago, exactly. These days, nobody has the attention span. Just try television from long enough ago and you'll see what I mean...

Eh, I prefer my really expensive Yahoo account. It came with the DSL. Google may try to edge it out, but if I'm not even using the 2 Gig I get normally, why would an extra .2 Gig (Paid for by them snooping in my email) be useful to me?

It would be irritating if almost a year's worth of waiting culminated in nothing. I just hope the tournament has some sort of finale, regardless of who or what wins. You know. One could rule out people who just aren't posting as disqualified and have one last battle between whoever's left.

Cepacol, the throat numbening cough drop from hell!

It makes your throat entirely numb and is really weird. But on the plus side, no pain. So, yeah. If you're like me, you'll just take one of those, feel no pain, and then forget about it after a while...

Oh yeah, hot drinks seem to help for me, I.E. tea.

Sorreh for the semi-bump, but the discussion about bad cable reminded me.

I have SBC, and it has been great 90% of the time. We're charged the right amount, and get new discounts every year, mainly because I always get the high-paying stuff and stick with it. We've only had, errr, ONE SERIOUS DISCONNECTION EVER, and it happened quite a while ago. While the Indian tech support was unable to do much, I think they eventually realized something had gone wrong and fixed it.

Regardless, no bandwidth caps, 3 mb/s (MEGABITS, not MEGABYTES), and staff ready to find discounts whenever possible. Oh, yeah. And we don't have to worry about cables being broken; as long as our phone line works, it usually works.

Well, me and my sister just load up some machineguns and shoot up the house, then we re-inact the car fight scenes from Mad Max against one another, following it up with some Kung-Fu fighting and then some fight scenes in Star Wars.

...I'm just kidding. :p

In all reality, all that happens is I say "No" and she says "Can you play a board game with me?" and this is repeated for about 15 minutes until she stomps out. Oh, yeah, she occasionally would spit on me and kick my shins. I throw small, non-deadly objects at her that twap her in the head.

Only when a clipper isn't handy and my nails are getting even longer than even "Crazy Computer Man" length. Also used to remove ingrown nails when there's no nail clippers.

Eh. Not 98 yet, but there's a patch for everything but 95, 98, ME, and NT at http://www.grc.com/sn/notes-020.htm . It basically disables the offending image previewer and the thing behind it, making it impossible for it to be abused. Will report back if I find anything for 98 and the like... after all, I use various old computers.

Luckily, I switched to Linux for my main computer, so they'll have to be more devious to get me alive!

Posted on 01-07-06 05:50 AM, in Firemaker's layout stops my browser deady Link
That's right. Any thread in which he's posted, it goes down to his post, shows it as totally blank, and continually does the "Loading" thing, never actually finishing. It's pretty major, as it basically prevents me from navigating through any place he's posted and ties up my browser.

Nasty, eh? I'm using lololol 1.0.7 on Ubuntu 5.10 using GNOME with 512 MB memory, adblock, a thing which checks for correct HTML (but is disabled), with VGmix open in another tab, X-chat open, mIRC emulated in WINE open, and Winamp playing an mp3 named El Coatl - Distress call.

Just in case any of that could be the problem instead of, say, the formatting of his post ;p

Yes, it is 1:50 AM.

Firemaker's layout prevented me from seeing the bottom of this post (X.x) but lololol 1.0.7 has been handling cookies all right since I first installed it. I'll be evading lololol 1.5 for a while if THIS is what it's doing. Never had cookie problems, and I like to experiment with killing various privacy-invading ones.

Some evil jerks are posting pins which involve communism and Bush hatred. I wonder if you can destroy them in any way possible, it really is annoying.

I'm a bit odd. If I remember it, I can do it. It's all based on that, so if it doesn't sink in, then it doesn't matter how it's shown to me--I just won't learn it. So, it's really by any means possible, IMO

Xkeeper should destroy them with his skills and make the letters "Xk Rulz" out of people.

...I'm trying to say that the map has been annihilated by someone who was able to delete a buncha people and cause insanity. I think that Frapper was better anyway...

I'd vote for myself just for the irony :p

I'm not too savvy on the "Mosts" lingo, but when does the next one happen, again? I might bother voting in it (meaning the upcoming Mosts), now that I've taken a look at it. It's like how I had no clue I liked gardening until I got myself a look at it. Anyway, uhhh, good job.

I just had to remark on it again after taking the time to read through the mountain of replies.

Old skin for the win. Since my first board is UBB, after all, and this is the closest thing to it.

Posted on 01-12-06 03:45 AM, in @import CSS Link
Thanks to chaos theory, it's almost impossible to prevent someone from screwing up HTML if they're allowed to use it on a message board, which allows HTML.

Furthermore, the way layouts work on this board are different from normal HTML, so while I have my own website, I can't even get a picture background to appear on it, for crying out loud.

So, I suggest a tutorial. Mainly because even non-average HTML-wrangling mega-Joes can find the way this place uses HTML layouts to be... baffling.

And I only know link rel. Could someone conveniently give me an example of how @import is used?

Forget the battery, my Laptop's hard drive just went up and died on me. The battery performed well in its term, never failing me, though.

The moral?

Toshiba: Good batteries.
Toshiba: My year's worth of data is gone.

Toshiba: Small pros, major CON.
