I'll be picking up a Wii at launch. As for the other two consoles, while the 360 does interest me somewhat, I still don't own a PS2, which is both cheaper and has more games I'm interested in. The PS3's price is simply outrageous, and I haven't really seen a lot of interesting games announced for it either. |

Hm, these games have to be the NTSC versions, right? If not, I believe I can get you the PAL versions of the games. |

Yeah, that's pretty much the thing. If people want karaoke games, they'd rather buy the 140£ or whatever console than the three-times-the-price PS3. Karaoke is karaoke no matter who manifactured the console, and no matter how much a Sony fanboy the buyer/clerk/buyer's boyfriend is, defending the purchase of a PS3 is not going to be easy.

And yeah, Nintendo sorta-kinda copied Sony this time. Apart from the fact that the PS2 controller didn't have a microphone, while the DS did (and the N64 had an add-on that was only used for one game), and the fact that karaoke machines have been around for a long time. Nintendo didn't invent the analog stick, Atari did. The 5200 controller was using analog control while the NES was still in it's planning stage.

As for "rumble", CH was the first company to implement that feature in a controller with their Force FX Apple II joystick. But yeah, it's doubtful Sony would've released a new PSX controller sporting both these features shortly after the release of the N64 had Nintendo not went with these ideas.

While a Rainbow Cup wouln't have been too good an idea, I really think they should've had one of the classic Rainbow Roads (not the 64 one, ew ew ew) as the last track of the Retro Cups. Ending it with Yoshi's Circuit, whose bright idea was that? |
