Okay, so the Orioles won. too bad they can't play tampa bay 162 times, though. I think reality will come with the red sox.

Originally posted by Zachio ...and the Yankees, and the White Sox, and the A's, and the Royals... Red Sox Alumni Report! (Sponsorship pending.) * Bronson Arroyo cranked off a homer in his first at-bat with the Reds. He also got the win, going 6.2 innings and striking out 7 while giving up 6 hits. He was rolling pretty well once he got out of the first. * Derek Lowe? You have ADD. No, you're not dying. (Wonder how many people are gonna get THAT one.) But it does mean he gets to legally take adderall, which is verboten under the drug policy. * Johnny Damon still can't throw. * Kevin Millar just slapped a two-run single, Baltimore's up 5-1 in the FIRST. So far, he's batting .600 with an OPS of 1.400. In five at-bats. * Mark Bellhorn is 0-for-1 with the Padres. Howeer, he has maintained his high standard of excellence in striking out, and is on pace to K in every AB this season. * Wade Miller hasn't done anything for the Cubs. But he's off the DL. * John Flaherty is still retired. |

Yeah, so I was at yesterday's Red Sox/Blue Jays game. No, as far as I can tell, they did not take Matt Clement out back behind the Green Monster and shoot him. But Lowell made some nice plays (starting those two DP's, nearly catching that blooper over his head) and most importantly, the rejuvenating power of "Sweet Caroline". Everyone perked up after they played that (wonder why) and then Ortiz cranks off the homer... you should've been there. I laughed, I cried, I punched a Blue Jays fan. (The last one may not be true.)

Hahahaha..its the 1998 Marlins all over again. XD I cracked up laughing after seeing the score of yesterday's game...we lost against the ex-Expos team.
Man, why do I have to like a team that sucks and that might move away. |

Anya: Because San Antonio's impatient? Bet Loria'd rather drag the whole process out just to further annoy and alienate people in ANOTHER market.

I'm guessing no one's been watching SportsCenter lately.
Delmon Young, the top prospect in the Devil Rays system and one of the best in baseball, threw his bat at an ump after getting ejected from a Durham Bulls/Pawtucket Red Sox (Triple-A) game. He's been suspended indefinitely by the International League, and there's video of the incident (probably on ESPN.com). DISCUSS. |

DOUGIE'S GOING DEEP TONIGHT!
Old news, but it's relevant now because of the return of an ICON. |

Any idea how long Young's getting suspended? I mean... you shoot the puck at the referee in the NHL, you'd be gone for a LOOOOOOONG time. Then again, apparently you punch out a referee in the EPL and you're out for 11 games or so (hello, Di Canio...)

Originally posted by Colin It's been a whole seven days since your post and the announcement hasn't been made. I'm sure it'll take a while, as they're gonna want to take their sweet time, and I'd be surprised if the suspension wasn't really long. |

Well they obviously forgot about it. I mean, in hockey when Bertuzzi got suspended for the rest of the season after his attack on Steve Moore, the announcement came 2 days later I think. And that was pretty bad.
