Cut my chin while shaving. OWCH! OWCH! OWCH!
This hurts! My beard is growing like Chuck Norris's (without the hardness), and I can't get rid of it with this tissue on my face! Owwie! The pain! The red! It's showing...

I can't say I know the feeling.

Try waxing your privates and we might come to an understanding here.

It happens to all of us.

I hate it when it won't stop bleeding, yet there is no pain (and I'm talking about teh legs, BTW).

Have you thought about getting your face shaved at a barber?

I'd like to not spend as much money.

I got my shaving cream, and my razors. Everyone shaves their own face.

I just.... dislike this part of my manhood. It makes me bleed too much.

We all cut ourselves shaving, male or female. Are you using a second-hand razor (ie, fathers, or brothers?) if so, don't. Older razors are a definite torture device.... all pointy and cutty and owie.

I'm using the generic kind. The ones where you use 'em and throw 'em away. I might need one of those fancy electro-razors....

Not necessarily, razors are known to get a closer shave.... I don't like the disposable kind though, maybe see what else you can get.

I use the type that you throw away the blade after a while. Works great for me.

Well here's another thing.... I went WAY too fast with the razor. I am way too uppity, and I was impatient with my face. Therefore I went high speed beard cutting and accidently um.... mal-angled the razor in a way that it cut in a sideways sort of way. The wrong kind of sideways. yeah.

I also hate shaving my chin because I have a scar there that if I go too fast on it, well, let's just say that it hurts.

I use a Mach 3( you only have to change the blades occasionnally) and I don't get the bleedin' very often though. Your best bet is not to go too fast/hard, otherwise, prepare to clean the mess.

Funny, of all the times I've shaved (and by that I mean walking into the bathroom, finding a razor that looks reasonably clean (but no doubt used by my brother and Dad at least a couple times before), and going to work), I can't recall cutting myself much, if at all The only time that does come to mind was on the lower side of my chin, but it was only a small cut, and holding a small wad of toilet paper over the area was enough to stop the bleeding after 10 minutes or so.

I'm not sure exactly what kind of blades they are, but seeing as I was bored one night, and read the back of the box for them, I found out that new blades have a blue strip on top of them (and they do), which, when it fades, you should take that blade out and replace it with a new one. Unfortunately, the past couple of times I've shaved, I haven't checked for the blue strip until after I was done, and then found out that it was faded completely That and the fact that if I don't scrub my face with a damp washcloth, or have a shower beforehand, it literally feels like I'm pulling the hair out of my face

I did try getting my face shaved by a barber before, which went pretty much flawlessly, now that I think of it, but unfortunately, the only time they would do that is after you'd gotten a haircut (why they'd have their rules set up that way is beyond me), and they started charging more than I was willing to pay if I wanted my hair cut, so now a friend of my Mom's does it, and I shave on my own

My sister likes to leave her disposable razors in the shower, of all places, with the caps off, which isn't very good, considering it'd be easy to knock one of the shelf by bumping it or something, then with a bit of bad luck, you could end up stepping right on the thing Thankfully, that hasn't happened yet, but either my Mom or Dad (she won't listen to anyone else) needs to tell her to throw the things out after she uses them. After all, isn't that what's intended to be done with the things once they've been used?

You can use a disposable razor a few times before you need to throw it out, but yes, they should at least be stored safely.

Oh, another thing I remembered -- a good shaving cream / gel works wonders too.

The one time I cut myself, it was an older razor when I thought just that once I could get away with using soap instead of shaving gel (was broke). Nice little nick on my leg. Stung a little with soap and hot water in it.

I assume she's figured out they can be used more than once, as, from what I've seen, she doesn't go through them too quickly, but the main problem with her leaving them in the shower is that she might use them once or twice, leave that one sitting on the shelf, then get a new one. Therefore, if you find the oldest razor on the shelf, and take a good look at the blades, you can see just what wonderful condition they're in. Heck. The one time I collected all the disposable razors in the shower, I found about 8. That's the thing I have the problem with.

Anyways, the only time I picked one up to look at it closely, there were small bits of hair jammed in between the blades (as in, enough that you couldn't see through them), and the metal on a whole was turning rusty, or at least it looked like it

Apparently they need to be literally falling apart before they can be thrown out, in her eyes

I know that may seem a bit mean, but when you consider that there's a garbage not even two steps away from the shower, she could at least make the effort to throw the old ones out

Buy a Mach 3 razor, and just replace the blades every so often (depending on how frequently you shave and how thick your beard is on each occasion). Haven't cut myself in a long time and, when I do, it's purely due to carelessness.

I've only used one of those cheap plastic disposable razors once, and it was when I thought I could get away without shaving for a couple of days before a wrestling match. There are rules regarding facial hair - the rules, essentially, being that you can't have anything, even stubble, below the ears - and during weigh-ins the referee told me to shave before the match. So, I had to use the coach's disposable razor that he brings along for such circumstances, and I swear he must've been the same blade for the 30-something years he'd been coaching. Granted, I only had hot water and no shaving cream, but it was nonetheless one of the most painful experiences of my life.

I very rarely cut myself while shaving, but it does happen. It's probably because I'm being a bit sloppy with switching blades, and throwing the old ones out.

First time I shaved, I used the cheap disposable kind. They weren't really that great. The Mach 3 shaves better, and is more comfortable.

Yeah, I hate shaving, especially when you cut yourself and it won't stop bleeding. But what's really not fun is when the blade slices into the skin on your neck, and then just mangles and tears a large chunk off.

Just take it slow, and change the blade when it gets dull, you should be able to avoid any injuries pretty well after a few tries.

Been awhile since I have cut myself while shaving. And when I do, it isn't really bad. Small cuts and such.

Never an 'omfg, bleeding to death' scenario.

I have never used a razor, and I don't intend to. I don't have particularly much facial hair growth is the thing. While it's noticeable after a couple days, I don't really NEED to shave more than once a week. So a really close shave isn't all that crucial. And my electric shaver has served me well for two years now. Yeah, that's right, I didn't really need to shave unti I was 20
