I wanted to post it in the other thread, but I will post it here
Originally posted by Yoronosuku in the other thread there is only one bug-type attack too, I think it was double-needle or something like that, which is used by the bee-like one(I don't renember the name, I haven't played pokemon for year), which type is poison too... I need to get one of the more recent pokemon game, I only played RBY, I hope the newer one made the psychic type unrigged (edited by Bio on 04-04-06 11:38 PM) |

I could have SWORN Lick was normal at first.... .-.;; goes to show I'm out of the loop from the oldschool games. You're thinking of the move Pinmissle. It was OKAY but with the addition of Megahorn it isn't incredible usefull anymore...

Actually, no, there was a Twineedle. As he said, only Beedrill had it, IIRC.
There was also Leech LIfe, which sucked massively. (edited by Cheveyo Chowilawu on 04-04-06 11:45 PM) |

Night Shade is a ghost-type move, in the same sense that Dragon Rage is a Dragon-type move: It's got the type, but it doesn't count for anything because it does fixed damage.
Just a thought: Imagine how awesome a pure-Ghost would be in RGBY. Only weak to itself, 2 immunities... Just pure ownage. Of course, when they actually created a pure ghost (Muuma/Misdreavous) they also created dark types, so... it balanced out. |

I'm working on a PKMN hack now, aside form my SMW hack. I'll make wierd type combos like : Water/Fire Ghost/Dragon Normal/Water I've already got ideas planned. And thinking about making the Mewthree and ChronaMew that you would hear from stupid sites back when we believed all the stupid rumors in the R/B days. (edited by Skyon on 04-05-06 12:20 AM) |

Originally posted by SkyonOriginally posted by Skreename Hahaha, hence why I like to use Dusclops in battle. I think they should create more good Bug-type moves. The only ones that are good are Megahorn and Silver Wind (if you have it on a Bug pokémon, that is). |

If there's something that annoyed me with Pokémon, it's the gene thing. Sure, Pokémon shouldn't be the same but it annoys me, I wish it worked more like a MMORPG where the stats are distrubted with points.
Reminds me, I probably played more Pokémon than RO, but I know more about RO's inner workings than Pokémon. XD I still have some... uhm, Eon ticket I think it was called. Got it for six months ago, hadn't started the game since to use it. XD (edited by Ailure on 04-05-06 06:13 AM) |

The AI until Fire Red sucked, Seriously. I could get away with using just the stater pokemon and and mashing the Elite Four (except Ru/Sa where I kyogre'd them)
Taking a Lv 80 blastoise to the elite four with a Lv 43 Dugtrio as second highest was fun. |

Dusclops isn't in GSC, he's a Pokemon exclusive only to the Houenn region of Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. Dusclops is decent, but, a well-place Shadow Ball will put him in his place after a few blows.

Maybe by a CB'd Crit hit Slaking, and POSSIBLY Snorlax, but I don't think so. He'll be mean with Will-o-wisp and cut your attack to shreds. So pick a dark-type move to attempt to kill it, even though you won't. He needs some status effects and Medicham to pulverize it with a PurePower'd Adamant CB Shadow Ball. Then you're in business.

Some people make the mistake of using all the powerhouse-strong pokemon, but that's now a good idea, well.... now that I think about it a good team could be:
Mewtwo(the coolest pokemon ever made) Rayquaza Kyogre Grouden Metagross (and preferably an "Eevee" form) These guys are all different types except for Mewtwo and Metagross being bothe Psychic, but Metagross being Steel too. And there's other good teams too... |

lol look at my gai 00ber team of 1337ness m i kewl yet? mew2 will prawn you lololol
All of them could probably be fucked by a special attacking Tyranitar with all the right EVs, because without Submission on Mewtwo, it's kinda fucked. Crunch, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, EQ would sweep that team if the cards are played right. |

I've always liked Snorlax's durability and Shuckle's awesome tactics
Shuckle with: Toxic, Double Team, Rest, and maybe Attract could be a devastating hard-to-beat character |
