Charentais

An heirloom variety of French melon of the subspecies cantalupensis. Making it a "true cantaloupe", rather than a muskmelon (of the subspecies reticulatus).

In a sentence: Those people with their fancy Charentais melons sure are uppity.

I think it's been 24 hours since my last post... This is a word (or suffix, I guess you could say) I learned a few days ago.

.ogg (noun, adjective)

A type of music format used in computers.

i.e, Super Mario War's music is stored in .ogg files.

It's a different day than my last word, so here's another.

carporinous

Adj. Dubious, Arousing doubt; doubtful.

From the Norse root word "karpa", meaning "to talk or brag". The meaning was also influenced by the Latin word "carpere", meaning "to pluck or to pick at".

Ok, I made that up, the root words are real though.

Now that its not April Fool's day, how about a real word:

Proprioception

n. One of the 12 main human senses, refering to an individual's awareness of the relative location of the various regions of their body.
