Oblivion has gone gold and will be in stores March 20!
I upgraded my PC for this game and it will finally be here soon Story |

Thank goodness my PC can handle that type of game. I mean, even if I had a 360, I would rather play it on the PC. Its so much better for so many reasons IMO.
Hopefully the game will be released on time, it was set to come out earlier this year. |

It has recieved extremly positive reviews thus far, some claiming it to be the best RPG ever. I never got into the Elder Scrolls games, maybe I should give it a chance.
Now that they have Oblivion out of the way they can finally start work on the long-awaited Fallout 3. |

This is coming out for the PC? Holy crap, I thought it was only for the 360. Well, now that I know this, I can't wait to pick it up.
And it's out in like 4 days. Sweet! |

If I did have a 360, I would still rather get this game on the PC. I just like games that were made on PC and other console...I like it on PC better.

It's coming out for the PC but the requirements are... well... high. At least, the recommended settings are.
I meet the required settings but even then, if I tried it... I dunno. I guess it's the Doom 3 of RPG's. |

Got the collector's edition for the PC on Tuesday...haven't played it yet. I'm gonna need a lot of free time to start it off with. Which will be Thursday.
We sold the shit out of it at launch...man, was it crazy at the store that day. |

How good is your PC? I mean, obviously I need to tweak mine since I have:
- Athlon 2500 - 1GB RAM - ATI Radeon 9600 Pro As a result, I ran the game at 800x600 and it's choppy when you get outside. I probably have to kill the high-res textures... |

Got it, runs great. Just a spike or two, but I am figureing out if it is my DVD-Drive going too fast (). At least, someone said it was. Yea, I got a nice little PC here to run it.
CPU Type DualCore Intel Pentium D 840, 3200 MHz (16 x 200) Motherboard Name Dell Dimension 9100 Motherboard Chipset Intel Lakeport i945G/P System Memory 1024 MB (DDR2-533 DDR2 SDRAM) BIOS Type Phoenix (05/25/05) Display: Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce 6800 (256 MB) 3D Accelerator nVIDIA GeForce 6800 PCI-E Monitor Dell E193FP [19" LCD] (G656656UL1TS) That runs this game really nice, so if you can get something like that, you're set. Havn't got to far yet though... |

Well, my computer's halfway to the minimum requirements.
Can someone send me a better computer? This thing's got a fucking celeron and only 256 MB of RAM, think of it as a pity gift or a donation to charity. Please? Nah, I'm probably just gonna get it on Xbox 360; from what I gather, all Xbox Morrowind was missing was mods, since in time there was even a version on Xbox that had both expansions, and chances are Xbox 360 will have other games I want. And I won't need to worry about mom's fear of the insides of electronics that way... better for everyone involved. (edited by Cheveyo Chowilawu on 03-27-06 05:15 PM) |

It's funny since I did a check online and I easily meet the minimum requirements to run the game. I'll probably end up playing with textures/all that and getting a good result in the end, but it's a lot of legwork.
The game actually looks NICE in 800x600 but I dunno if that translates well into 640x480. Only one way to find out... |

Yours will probably be better.
Besides, I did the necessary tweaking and now it runs nice and smooth. So basically as long as you got your computer in the last 2 years or so, you SHOULD be able to run this somehow. Whether the graphics are top of the line or not. |

I have one question.
Am I a bad person for downloading this instead of buying it? |

I don't think so, but I'm wondering why there doesn't seem to be a protection system on the game itself. The... um... alternate version of the game simply had an ISO image - burn + play. And that's what I did.

Wait, no protection? I don't even need to hunt down a crack to it? You're kidding right!? |
