This show makes me laugh uproariously every time I watch it. If you haven't seen it, it's a game show where the player has to open up cases with low amounts of money in them to get a silent antagonist called the "Banker" to offer as much money for the case the player picked at the start of the show.
The funny part is, it's a total and complete game of chance, so someone can do amazingly well, or can utterly tank. Not to mention that the host sometimes likes to emotionally torture the contestant. In fact, on the show today, if anyone saw it, one contestant left the show with 750$ out of 1,000,000$. Does anyone see/like this show? |

I saw an episode on a recent airplane trip. It looked like a pretty interesting game show, especially concidering how tense it gets, because the contestant will ask their family/friends what they should do thinking that they have some sort of hidden knowledge about the case, and they offer advice like they know better, when in all actuality there is nothing they can really offer the contestant, other than the same statistics and probabilities that the game show gives them. It's great, You have a one in four chance of picking the case with a million dollars and we're offering you 190,000 dollars, the person picks a case, and guess what, 1million dollars, damn, that sucks. Now we'll only give you 50,000 so you better hope your next guess isn't the 500,000 case, whoops, you picked it, bad luck, here you go, 4000 dollars, that's all you get, better luck next time.

I saw one episode of it, and it's not as bad as I thought it would be. I dislike the host though.
The episode I saw featured some mayor who was playing to win for his city. By the time the banker offered over $100,000, I kept getting annoyed that he wouldn't take the deal. He made out a lot better than I would have. I guess I learned something about myself. :'( I would have loved to see that. |

I guess the idea isn't too bad, but the way they do it is annoying. Mystery banker in the other room that has to CALL ON THE PHONE my god that's annoying. And the host, I don't think they could find a more annoying guy. But maybe that's the idea?
I've only watched a few minutes of an episode, never really dedicated my time to it. =\ |

Maybe it's just me, but I find it really funny that people actually contemplate taking the banks offer early in the game at all, I mean, unless you're truly unlucky and pick all the high cases, the bank's offer is gonna keep increasing for a while. Oh well, maybe people aren't good with math, who knows.

I'd like to sign up for that show, looks fun!
I remember some crazy kid doing "the lucky dance" for his mother. I was watching it thinking... "Wtf!? This kid is not funny!". |

She lost quite a bit of money. She could've taken home $85,000 but was left with about $50,000 instead. She chose to have $35,000 taken away by pushing forward. Oh well.

It's not about the game and Howie Mandell that I like about D.o.N.D., it's the Models that hold the suitcases that catch my attention.

Last Nights DOND was all about drama. Bryan did make the right choice by taken the deal. Otherwise it would be a fatal blow.

I saw a spoof of this game show on SNL and I just had to see if the actual show was really like that.
So when I saw the actual show for the first time the other night, I laughed my ass off. I don't plan on watching it again. |

Hubby watches the show now and he even mentioned that he would want to try to be on it. But the only type of people that they want are the way too hyper and overdramatic.

I'm English and Watch the english version. Sometimes it's good. Other times it's rather stupid, especially when the gameshow host shouts and tortures everybody in the room, not just the contestant.
I dislike it in general, in the same way that I dislike the weakest link and who want's to be a millionaire. |
