Nice lava jacuzzi!
I think bowser intended to relax Mario to lure him into a false sense of security. |

Originally posted by andres Cover your spoilers man I haven't attempted hard, but... how hard can it be? EDIT: Oh shit. You should probably disable the yoshi intro for the "suprise"... As well as remove the lighting sound. Also, "Balcony" is misspelled. (edited by Tatrion on 03-22-06 06:57 PM) |

You've heard most of the bug problems so I'm not gonna say anything about those.
Time for the good news and the bad news: Good News: I love the way you used the little speed boosts that's really cool; and the jump things. I like SOME of the BG graphics. Bad News: I really don't like a lot of your blocks and sprite designs; they look a little funny like: "used blocks" podoboo(Jumping fire sprite), Goombas need outline; Mario too. |

There's no way that you finished the hack so fast after the demo release. I had to give up one of my hacks for other projects and docs.

I played it, and I must say, it's good! The level design is cool and sometimes very clever, but yeah, there are a lot of glitches, but most of them are already mentioned before. They are many, but on the good side, most of it isn't to hard to fix. Like Bio already said it's sometimes really neccessary to use the block act setting to 130 for some of the boost blocks, especially if you put them directly on the ground.
Most of the time you have just to use the Sprite Memory index right, for example at the beginning of the co-op-Mode, the platform disappears sometimes, but there are no other sprites on the screen, that's actually very easy to fix. (0E should work most of the time) Some other glitches (like the screwed up spotlight in the dark water-room) are also easy to fix just with using ExGFX. Besides that, I would like to ask a question. The demo starts in the forest you know. Why isn't the part included in the final version anymore? I thought that would be a good start for the game. And what's the matter with the overworld? You can go everywhere, if you want you can just go to the last room with the boss without playing the level? (Btw some of the level-parts are still misslabeled - like "Top Secret Area" for example and the "No Yoshi-intro" should be disabled) Overall a nice and unique hack, but you should really fix all the glitches |

Thanks for the feedback guys. Once again. I apolgize for the glitches in the game that MY BETA TESTER SHOULD HAVE POINTED OUT *gives evil glare*, But most are my fault and I should of checked it myself.
Unfortunatly I can't fix them for a few days as I will be on vacation. I'll get then fix when I get back. And I'll try to add a little something for the people who have already played though this. I have an idea recently and I think I'll try it out. |

Actually, since i knew someone could get stuck there if they are hatless, there should be breakable brick even if your hatless.

Well it's hard to spot errors when you don't get stuck in them... I never got stuck in the boosts, i never saw the ice bit with the hills.

I'm having trouble geting this game to boot. Is Super Mario World (U) (!) the right version, and should the ROM be 2MB after the patch?

Open up your original rom in a hex editor. Are the first 200 hex bytes 00?
If not, add them (DO NOT OVERWRITE). I had a similar problem awhile ago. |

When you say the first 200, do you mean to C8 or to hex 200?
EDIT: I'm starting to believe I have the wrong ROM, as the IPS makes the ROM 4 times bigger and the hex editor displays large fields of zero. (edited by Ten on 03-24-06 07:06 AM) |

About the final boss... whenever you attack him, his jaw always goes from green to orange and back. |
