I played this hack and found it enjoyable. The only thing I disliked is that the switching characters in 2-Player became annoying after a while. Everything else was fun, however. Keep up the good work.

I suggest against the rounded brick-blocks. They look tacky.
*sigh* *downloads* |

I better make sure I'm not mixing up hacks here...
I noted that instead of losing my flower right away to small Mario, I went to Big Mario! Another hit took me to Small Mario. For some reason, I feel this works in this hack. Nice one! |

You've done a good job on level designing! It's fun; I didn't feel like turning it off the first two levels like I do with most hacks. Your Red Switch Palace was quite clever it was really neat. Only one thing I don't like, and that is simply the way the Koopa Sprites look, but everything else was cool, great job! (edited by Skyon on 03-20-06 06:33 AM) |

I tried the demo last night, and liked it. The levels were pretty fun without being boring, and I loved the second room of Iggy's Castle with the rising and falling lava. Yoshi looks kind of strange (when you jump, he looks like he has a huge chin), but that's just my opinion and doesn't detract from the game. Also, there's a minor glitch in the path between stage 1-4 and the castle (nitpicky, but noticeable). Does clearing the secret stage on the island actually do anything? If not, it should still probably trigger a small change on the map, even if it's just cosmetic.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to a more complete version of this hack. You've done a good job. |

Originally posted by SnifflySquirrel Ah, thank you. Well a change DOES happen, but you won't see it until the final world. |

Let's see... first, an apology: my previous post was dumb.
Now, you seriously need to fix some of the graphical glitches in this game. Mushrooms end up behind stuff and question mark boxes leaving holes once you hit them. The lava in Iggy's castle seems to go up a bit too high. Those pumpkin looking things on the bushes have a crummy animation. I'd fix that if I were you. The retro-styled goombas look interesting enough, but they seem to be looking off to the side and don't seem to fit with the rest of the graphics. Yoshis seem cool. The orange-lipped pirahna is cool enough. I can't say I like the idea of them popping out of the ground... it doesn't look right. For some reason, though, when the clappin' chuck did the same thing I didn't find it so weird. I can't say I like powered Mario to Big Mario and the item box being in use at the same time. That seems like too much, and that's probably why people felt they had too many powerups. Spoiler: on secret islands? The craziness.
MFGG'er cameos Well, I'd say after fixing the various glitches that permeated the hack, this one will be fairily interesting. The most important advice I think I can give you now besides "fix those glitches" is to do more things like that secret island. It's just so out there. SMW hacks desperately need new and different challenges, scenarios, and the like. |

Even though this topic is dead and I canned SMIHA for another month, there seems to be a problem now. I want to play it again but somehow, I cant! Im using Lunar IPS to patch SMIHA to an .smc file of a Super Mario World rom but it wont play it for me. Its just plain old Super Mario World. I can tell cuz the Intro screen says Nintendo Presents.
Is my Lunar IPS corrupted or the IPS corrupted or it wont work on certain SMW roms? |

Topic bumper! Ah well, despite the fact that you will almost asurdley be banned, to answer your question, your SMW ROM is modified, it just hasn't had the "Nintendo Presents" changed...
