Right, blame it on both of us. I´m just trying to defend myself.

I wouldn´t care if you closed this thread.

What the hell, guys.

Trapster, first, you have pretty much no say among staff, so don't pull those retarded threats here. Second, what I said clearly wasn't an insult; it's saying that you're not good at Pokemon and shouldn't talk down to someone who is better than you. I'm not saying you're stupid, I'm implying you're a hypocrite. Quite a bit of difference there.

Edit: Okay, I didn't see the last two posts. Took me a short while to type that up. Honestly, though, I think it'd be freaking hilarious to see you break "all hell" loose. I don't exactly have a high opinion of you, if you hadn't caught that. Just the same, there's no reason we can't be civil, so just stop with the pointless attacks and everything will be fine.

Excuse me, but WHO was I talking down?

And if it looked like that, I´m sorry. That was not my intention. And I didn´t say that he was bad or anything like that.

I was just surprised.

Clearly you misunderstood my post in its entirety, as it contained no suprises. I don't see why you would be shocked that it would take me a while to adjust to a radical change in a popular game series.

SO LET'S BE FRIENDS NOW K! 8D

Anyway, uhm... i'm 100% sure that my sister will wind up getting it. I really liked Pokémon colleseum, althought I hadn't finished it's story mode (Gamecube at home, me at the dorm )

Oh, Ruby and Sapphire was my favorites in the series so far actually. Althought I must admit that it dosen't feel the same way as Gold & Silver for some reason.

Trapster, it was to Keitaro... You acted shocked that he still wasn't used to the physics of Advance, or something along those lines. This struck me as somewhat hypocritical when I recalled the exchanges that too place in the tourney thread, hence my response.

And Ailure, that's because Gold and Silver sucked, we just didn't know it at the time

It takes everyone a while to do that. It just didn´t take that long for me.

But I didn´t know everything about every new feature in those games. Like what Static does if you have a pokemon with that ability first in your team.

I'll always love Gold and Silver the best, as it had an actual storyline, as opposed to HEY RED. I'M TOO OLD, GO CATCH ALL THE POKEMON FOR ME At least you actualy become a trainer of your own accord, and really aren't REQUIRED to catch much of anything unless you want to actualy...you know, win. Plus the day and night was an awesome touch.

Colosseum was pretty different but I was hooked on that for a while. I might pick this up eventualy, but I want to wait for the price to go down. I saw it for around 40 bucks, seemed a bit steep for now.

Eh. It wasn't horrid or anything, but... The battle system was very, very flawed. When skilled players take upwards of 600 turns to finish a match something is just off. Oh, and... I got a new signature. Sorta.

My favorites were Silver and Crystal.

It mad more of a mystical feeling than the other games. That´s why I like them the most.

True, the battle system was indeed very off...but I'd like to chalk that up to limitations of what the GBC was capabale of. Keep in mind the actual core of Pokemon battles are entirely composed of complex mathematic equations, and "chance" (basicly, hoping the random numbers where applied are in your favor)...I'm guessing the GBC could only handle so much, at least.

It's not really a matter of calculation limitation as it was oversights on the part of the programmers. Heal Bell being on tanks broke the game, and heavy defense plus there being no real counters for tanks just made it so that outlasting the opponent was the best tactic.

Reminds me when I used a random mixed bag of my own Pokémon (that included Mewtwo and a few otheres) against myself. That match went on for a hour... or two. Probably would been alot faster if I could shut off animations.

And oh, one strategy I abused was leech seed. Worked against most computer opponents. xD Althought i'm sure that it wouldn't work as well against human ones. Still, my leech seed strategy is kinda... slow. :/

We don't need any bullies on these boards. I have no idea how long you've been a moderator but you've obviously been on this board a lot longer than I have. However, in other terms, I could probably guess as a fact that I have quite a lot more experience than you in administration on message communities and projects, and I can tell you that only the most pitiful and pathetic of moderators will try to throw others down just because they can close a couple of threads and make a few bans. Now, I'm not right out saying that's how you're acting because you're a mod... I can see you're trying to make a point. However, make this point with a better approach. You two were acting more childish than my nieces and nephews.

In other news, this is none of my business. However, I felt it necessary to give you a head's up.

Blue, with all due respect, this ain't any of your business, and I'd appreciate if you do your part not to amplify drama in my forum. Comprende?

The same WOULD go to Kyouji/Alastor and Ran-chan/Trapster, but they seemed to have dropped it before you resurrected the problem.

...So yeah, how about that battle engine

I'm actualy quite fond of the GSC era for the fact that if it wasn't for them, an integral part of many teams would never have existed. Skarmory? Blissy? Johto had 'em first. Smeargle? ...Porygon2? (yea, I know people who hold that thing in the highest regards among tanks) All thanks to generation 2. And lets not forget dark and steel...which made Magnemite suck twice as much bu that's besides the point (and I'm well aware Magneton is a decent Pokemon, but it has an incredible amount of weaknesses)
