i've tried everything to get a map to show on elitemap but nothing seems to work!
can somebody help me?

DId you load the rom? If so then did you select a bank and map number...

After loading just press the folder button with an arrow coming out of it, you'll go to the first map. After that, just move around and scroll through the maps pressing the arrow buttons on the sides of the map screen.
