Is there a thread on this yet?
Anyways, this looks like it'll be an awesome game, the wifi only adding to it. |

I keep thinking it's going to be like those PC multiplayer FPSs games where they claim they have a single player mode but it's only some bots.

yeah, I think the multiplayer will be the big thing with this game, but at least it has some story, and from what I've heard, they think it's the multiplayer is going to be the big feature that everyone wants to buy.

Multiplayer was the main reason I preordered this game last Wednesday. I needed a new wi-fi game because Mario Kart: DS online is getting kind of old. As for single player, lets hope for the best it doesn't suck.

Ah... using the demo's multiplayer mode i could beat anyone! Even 3V1! So i'll be pretty good on the Wi-fi too! Looks good!

Well, the game is officially out for North America. I got my game today after school. I was thinking for the past 30 minutes whether or not to make a new thread for posting friend codes or doing here in this thread instead and I've decided to do it here. Besides, the thread is not that old and it's better than making a new thread just for friend codes. I'll start.
Name: Fabio Code: 3393.6997.7981 Name: Interdpth Code: 3522-5514-5352 Name: Celice Code: 2277-0101-2237 Name: Omega45589 Code: 4467-4416-9288 Name: Sylux2.4 Code: 1847-5261-4723 List updated: 4/17/06 Added brianfillion98's friend code. I'll update this post for more friend codes if this thread doesn't get closed for bumping. I'll also add anyone who posts there friend code here. I like it pretty good, but like some others said; I got it for multiplayer reasons. What do you guys like better for control: Dual mode or Stylus mode; I thought stylus mode would be difficult, but I dound it to be pretty esy to use.

Stylus mode was what I fell into before, and will probably stay.
I just picked this and Tetris DS up today: I'll play into it tonight. |

It's been a pretty attractive time-waster.
First things's first, though. Control for us lefties is NOT intuitive. Stylus mode has us control ourselves with the face buttons with our right hands. I've never done that, and it's superbly annoying. I would imagine it's quite a bit better for you guys, since D-Pads typically do function as D-Pads. I'm sure I'll get used to it, though, but in the mean time I've been finding new and better ways to suck with the controls. And I can't use dual mode, since then I'll be quite vulnerable to the people who aim considerably faster with the stylus. I'm looking forward to breaking the chump meter system when I get back home, though. So very, very flawed... Though I'm sure it will keep the less intelligent at bay. |

I don't have broadband, but I play multiplayer with bots, and... *starts crying* the controls hurts my trigger finger after a while, and I get my butt beat down like white boy in heart of L.A.. Are you guys any good, yet? I've got to keep playing if I want to get any good, especially with these controls.

Overall it seems like a great game. Haven't played multiplayer yet, but I'm really enjoying the single player campaign. It feels really basic, and simple compared to other Metroid's however ...
One thing I'm finding a hard time to get used to however, is the controls. I really didn't like Stylus mode, and Dual mode just feels weird at times. Still, it's not impossible to play, just not exactly friendly. |

Dual Right mode is pretty easy to use, it just feels unnatural to play Metroid with a stylus but the mic and double screens work really well.

The stylus is very much necessary in online if you want to succeed. It takes a lot of getting used to, but still, you aim much faster.

Originally posted by Alastor the Stylish The thing that bothers me, is how the stylus and the D-Pad "feel" so close to eachother. And it just seems hard to grip the DS like that ... Guess I'll just have to try to and play around with it more often in that mode to get used to it. |

I'm play Dual Right and from playing on the Gamecube the Dual Right feels much more comfortable by using my right thumb to look around and quickly hit morphball. The stylus view is just awkard but that's my opionion any one up for a game?

Shadic's advice of awesomeness/u]
Dual-Mode Controls + Touchscreen with right thumbpad for the win. |

I would stick with dual mode only if it were a joystick instead of a D-pad, so the Stylus kind of helps with the slight or quick movement |
