That looks amazing I don't know any of the Metroid characters (except Samus and the Metroid monsters) so I can't give any good advice. But you should use that Metroid that follows you in your hack, I saw it somewhere in a topic. | |||

Ooh, nice. I thought about making a Metroid-style SMW hack (not Metroid graphics, but the same sort of gameplay). Basically everything is one big level. What might work better, though (as SMW's engine is really not designed for such a thing) is to make the overworld be like a map selector for some sort of teleporter. Replace the Mario sprite with some sort of cursor and make it move faster; make the Mario paths square; maybe you could hack it to not upload the OW music and just keep playing the current music instead. | |||

bump, but since we both working on a similar thing, why not work together on this project, I could handle the ASM part
I made a small list of abillity that will be aquirable: Morph ball: will work the way you described it Drill boot: will allow to spin jump(meh) Varia suit:Change Samus pallete and allow her to go through hot area(should be easy with custom block) Gravity suit:Water will be changed to increase gravity byte If Samus didn't get that upgrade Energy ball(limited use): will spawn a throw block in samus hand (use with X button) Quake device(limited use): Similar effect then when crashing with a cape(use with select) Light beam(limited use): similar than flash stopper in Megaman 2(use with R) Dark beam(limited use): similar than silver POW(use with L) I would like to know what you think of them (edited by Bio on 03-10-06 04:51 PM) |

Excellent ideas, but I'm starting to think that if all that is possible..
Correct me if I'm mistaken And If someone could provide me a picture of Mario's all gfx, I could perhaps make some editing. (Don't say "Use Lunar Magic and edit Mario with that" please, hence it cannot be done) (edited by Raccoon Sam on 03-12-06 11:30 AM) |
