Well, the name "Luigi" is actually an object that appears/disappears when you are/are not Luigi.
Best thing to do is use a generic life icon there, hide the Luigi name with the Status Bar Editor and you should be okay. |

Your other good bet would be to add in some custom ASM into the status bar updating ASM that does this:
If player is mario, then write the MARIO text over where the Luigi counter is, but you'll need to harcode the mario counter's location, and it won't show up in SMWSBE, because it's your own. |

I have another question right now. I was playing with the "mario only blocks" a bit, and I would like to know, if there is a way to make the block passable for Fire-Mario's Fireballs? Or is it impossible? I still want it inpassable for all the other sprites, but not for Mario and his Fireballs... _¬ | |||

Change the fireball offset in the "Edit Block Data" section in BlockTool for the "Mario Only Block" to -1. That way it won't read to make it solid for Mario's fireball. | |||

I do not know if anyone found this, but it is here and
I need it for my 'Mickey Mouse' hack I think spel werds rite might have it in his Private Messages right now, but I wanted a Location\ASM hack for Changing or Disabling the ''Throw Block Color Changing routine'' so I can have a 1 color (Yellow/Blue) throw block! I need some blocks of various sorts...
Either 1) A block that when touched by Mario Checks if he has x coins. If so, then add Mushroom/Fire Flower/Feather/Star or any other Sprite. With this, Removing the ability to gain 1-ups from Coins, the Coin count will stay at 99. ((Higher Number perhaps?)) Or 2) A block that does the same but uses Bonus Stars With this, Stoping the Bonus Star Counter from going above 99 and Coins that will add to the Star Counter instead of the Coin counter. You Guessed it, I want to create an Item Shop in SMW ^^. I hope someone would do this for me... |

I think LevelASM would be better.
I've tried this myself, I used a RAM address that saves even after leaving the overworld, so he can go up to 999 coins (or maybe 9999). But I can't write the text, until then this is the closest I can get. |

Can one of you guys create this custom block. This custom block took place after you apply the Seperate Graphics patch. Screenshots will tell.
When Mario hits this blue block (One of the existing custom blocks) It turns out to be Luigi on the screenshot below. When Luigi hits this green block (One of the existing custom blocks) It turns out to be Mario on the screenshot below. Or the seperate GFX custom block shown here. You only get credit if you know the block on a technical level, not tripping over them and saying you created it.
Anyways, here's what I want to give, this block will fix the error in the Mario block where the name still says Luigi, rather than Mario. |
