How can I export my hacked SMB1 levels so I can put them in on a clean ROM? (Just the levels, no other edits).

Fins out where the level data you want ends and begins, and copy that over into the clean ROM.

You need a hex editor for one, and a basic understanding of hex. Then, you need to find the data, whether it be documented or in-game. Compare and work your way through. Or just redo the levels in a clean ROM.

Jump to x1CCC and copy all the data until ~3000.
Paste in a new ROM and you have pure level data. |

I'll help you Jouw if you're sitll interested. It's best that if have the Hex Editor with SMB Utility at the same time. You should have the windows Hex Editor Transhexlation for this. Open 2 hex Editors with different and the current ROMS with the SMB Utility active on your current ROM. It should say "Changed by another editor, reload" Reload the export/importing level changes and your levels are reverted. Believe me Spel knows what he's doing and since I know it too. I can still do that. You can check here. There's a bunch of level and enemy offsets you can put here onto your ROM. Please note that the offsets may be different if you send an object from another room and the banks kind of changed.
I think importing levels is kind of easy to me. I just imported my levels in the past onto my old hacks with IPS changes. But I changed couple of TSA's myself afterward. Anyway just copy what you see here and paste it onto your clean ROM. Hope that helps. Spoiler: You can't import levels onto YY's SMB1 hack with SMB2J levels |
