YD and I need to stop talking... too many unforgivable puns. Edit: I feel this has become my... "Art" thread for now... expect more updates ____ First one is the product of about... eh, 2 days work. 7 hours in total. Personally, Im VERY proud of this drawing... The second one I managed in one day, from paper to completion. 6 hours maybe... Dont mind the backgrounds... they fit, dont they? (Eh, I just wanted something other than white space. ) Funny story. The shading initally took me an hour to figure out how I wanted to do it. I finally settled on airbrushing black and white highlights. Not too bad if I say so myself... Anyways... comments, serious flaws I missed (Go easy... Im not an art major ) Oh, yeah... I also got an art signature... thats the little circled K in the bottom right (edited by Kitty ATW on 02-25-06 08:18 PM) |

Hmm, The Yoshi Dude sprite didnīt have any clothes either but I guess it was a nice add-on to this one.
So yeah, it needs more yellow top hat but it looks really good. |

Upon seeing this topic, I thought that there was going to be more pirate.
My response: Nice, but needs more pirate. |

[-1] It looks like something I'd see on a fridge.
You could definately use a 'YD Fan' userbar. [ ! ] Clothes wrinkles are quite difficult so I won't bitch about it. It would give your "arrt" a plus if you could do some cloth-study. *One penny in your tip jar.* [+1] The idea for the overall design however, is a good one. [+1] Also, your choice of linework is a tad above average; at least it LOOKS like you knew what you were doing. When someone just wants to put crap down on a canvas, they use thick lines even for the inside and it'll look shitty. But you chose the right thickness for your stroking and I can definately respect that. [ ! ] Here's a tip: Usually, if you really want to make it nice, you use slightly thicker lines for the outline and thinner lines for the inner details. That way, people can distinguish the figure from the form. *A shiney golden coin in your tip jar.* In my objective opinion, your work is average but you got some potential. Keep it up! These are pretty cool. I'm a bit of a Yoshi artist myself but I never make anything serious The legs on the blue Yoshi look kinda odd, but other than that it's pretty cool (deja vu!). (edited by Yoster on 02-26-06 06:07 AM) |
