Well, recently i just installed a new videocard. Geforce 6600 256mb 8x AGP.
everything goes fine, until its time to reboot. When it IS time to reboot, however. boom black screen, and the dreaded "no signal" appears on the monitor. I've tried several different PSU's, moved the ram, sacrificed several goats, did the konami code. twice, actually, once backwards while reciting the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet backwards, in Swahili at that. still nothing. Sometimes it takes several tries to get the signal back. What the hell am i to do? Several ideas i have are a. fresh install of windows. b. get yet another power supply. c. buy a whole new goddamn motherboard and everything inside it. hopefully someone can help... btw ,the motherboard is an ECS K7VMM motherboard. with a VIA VT8375 ProSavageDDR KM266 chipset |

I say replace the video card. It could be possible that video card is defective...
I'm running my Geforce 6600 128MB 8x AGP card with a 300W power supply on an ECS motherboard with a ton of cards and drives. If the Geforce 6600 works fine on another computer, then it could be your computer that is acting up. However, I believe it is more of the graphics card than your computer. |

Does it ever come up again? Or did you reboot it and then never see Windows again? | |||

Iīm not good at these things but it sounds like a power issue to me. Maybe itīs the cables that are connected to the screen.
Try some different cables. If that doesnīt work, it might be the graphics card. |
