Well, seeing as my old router is about to die after years of use, I was wondering if airlink is any good, for its price at least. Fry's Electronics has a cheap one under 30$ for the router and 20$ for the PCI card. link is here EARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG>

Honestly? I've never heard of "Airlink" before. But I tend to avoid companies whose products and reputations I am not familiar with.

If I were you, I'd check hardware review sites for the product and see what you can find. Some support forums might also be able to give you advice (search for previous threads on Airlink products and read what other users have said about them).

Personally, I don't know Airlink, so I probably wouldn't use them, but then I would always rather spend the extra money on a product that I know will last me. I recommend Linksys.

I had an Super-G Airlink router for a while, I got a new one because I though it went bad, turned out it was my cable modem. I never had any problems with it and it has a pretty good html interface.
So, yeah, they're fine. I don't think there's anything the more expensive brands can do that it can't.
