I'm SUPPOSED to be having 10 to 15 inches of snow where I am in NJ, but NOOOO. It has to be 36 and RAINING. Fuck this shit. This is so goddamn retarded, it's not even funny. Currently, it's raining, and there is not a single snowflake on the ground. What utter bullshit. Please excuse my language; I am pissed. *goes off to kill something*

Now, now, there's no need to freak out. Of course they're going to be wrong. There's no need to form an angry mob every time the weatherman is wrong, and there's no need to run the weatherman out of town. Just because your trip to the beach was interrupted by snow doesn't mean you should go insane.

Um... Actually.. I wanted to go sledding. I can't do that. because there's no snow. And there hasn't been a good amount of snow in, Hmm... 4 years. And I'm moving away from NJ in June, so goodbye, old sledding spots. Dammit...

Hmm, that sentence sounds very familiar. It reminds me of that one episode of Fairly Oddparents where the weatherman gets kicked out of town by an angry mob when he guesses the weather wrong.

Anyway, back on topic, I don't bother listening to the weatherman anymore. Everytime they say it's going to rain, it doesn't and we need rain badly from where I live.

Well obviously, that's what I was referencing. But it's true - there's no need to freak out about the weather predictions. And it doesn't matter what he or she got wrong - it's going to happen, and you should learn to accept it. Or turn to a more professional service rather than your local weather chanel or the news' weather forecaster, that could improve results.

Yeah I wanted to shit on their faces today. I love how like 5 inches of snow is a huge ass deal. Like you're going to be stranded through a long winter day like the Donner Party with no food or shelter... in NYC. And these news people are are like "It's snowing! You just might get your feet wet!! Stay tuned for updates on the super disasterous BLIZZARD OF '06!!".

Bite me. I couldn't go out tonight because my parents were expecting the sky to open up and avalanche on our house. My mom bought cases of poland springs and stocked up on food. AND THERE'S THREE DELI'S AND A SUPERMARKET WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE!!!

I'm just pissed I couldn't go out. It is snowing... and currently there's maybe two inches on the ground. So, bite me Mr. Weatherman.

Weathermen cannot fucking predict. EVER.

that is all their doing, predicting--there is always a probability of them being wrong because they are guessing. Weather is dynamic as well and also depends on when you last saw the weather report.

I find it funny that when bad weather comes, people blame the weatherman for bad forecasts but when there is good weather, no one complains

It's not weathermen. It's news reporters that stand out near the beaches in blizzards and hurricanes that make me angry at the world. Like five inches of snow is enough to devastate NYC.

Look at this retard:

In some ways, you can't blame the reporters since people are drawn to these types of news stories. If the public did not care about it that much, then the news networks wouldn't do it to this extent.

Funny, I'd be hoping for NO (or minimal) snow myself. :\ You can only cross your fingers and hope that all the random factors kick into play.

Ah, I remember watching The Daily Show this summer and seeing the montages of all the stupid reporters falling over during each hurricane. I saw Anderson Cooper on CNN the day that Katrina (I think) hit and immediately thought "well, he drew the short straw".

I remember the weatherman said it would snow in my area...

...in the middle of Florida...

...

It was either I heard that a while ago or I was dreaming it.

Anyway, my news stations suck even though they think they know what the weather is going to be. They'll say 70% chance of rain and it turns to no cloud in the sky as a result. A 30% chance of rain causes dark skies and lightning storms.

It doesn't help that our local ABC news does Gainsville north of us and our local Fox news does Orlando...

It's *still* snowing like a madman here in Virginia.

And, Clockworkz, poor boy. But I'm thinking that perhaps it's not so good for your blood pressure to get so worked up over something that's out of your control.

That would be In-Accuweather, which has a notorious history of being way too bullish for forecasts of snow in the northeast (though is too bearish everywhere else).

I think though in New Jersey you should still get snow.

Regarding that Florida forecast, some of the models I looked at did suggest "ocean-effect snow" over Florida. That was a couple of days ago. I suppose now that they couldn't get the factors in place anymore.

Here in Memphis, we got blessed. We had a lot of snow on Friday (for us), breaking the old record for most snowfall in one day.

It looks like we could get some this weekend, around Friday/Saturday.

Haha, weīve had snow here for like, a month now. I guess itīs 5-10 inches but thatīs enough. I wish it could disappear soon, though.

Heck, Iīd give it to Xkeeper.

Well, around where I live I'm guessing it's kind of hard to predict the weather, as it can be quite unstable. But the weather forecast is good most of the time, still.

Of course, you can't expect them to forecast everything down to the smallest detail.

Meh, I think you should cut the forecasters some slack..

They do have a tendency to forecast higher windspeeds then what we actually get right where I live, but that is due to the geography. Mountains blocking the wind, you know. So yeah, what the landscape looks like can also play a part, sometimes.
