Yeah, I said it. Those "chipmunk" songs can all go to hell. The point being that lowering the pitch of certain songs makes them sound like Satan (from South Park) himself is singing it. Sure, according to YTMND, that would be a Darth Vader. But the mental image of Satan singing songs that way is so funny for some bizarre reason.
I mean, I slowed down the "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" theme song and added an echo for good measure, and I couldn't control my laughter. All the instruments were pretty much missing, and it sounded like Satan was singing into a microphone. Then I tried the Benny Hill theme. Let's just say that if you were to slow that down a little in addition to lowering the pitch (Sound Recorder will do this perfectly), it makes the perfect background music to being stoned or drunk or something. Finally, I tried the Safety Dance. My friend managed to make it sound perfectly like a satanic song by screwing around a lot (lowered the pitch, added an echo and sped up the tempo slightly). It seemed almost as though the song was MEANT to be played that way. Try it, both with your own songs and with others, and you'll agree. |

See, slowing down's one thing.
Reversing is quite another. |

I got the Robot Hell song to sound like children were singing it.. not chipmunks, children.
Also, reversing is so 1970's. |

I would upload them, but the last time I checked, the board has a policy on linking to copyrighted material. | |||

Sort of reminds me of those old recorder toy things.... Yak Baks? You could speed them up or slow them down to make your voice sound funny.
Good times. |

Ah yes, my good old Yak Bak 2. That survived me to the sixth grade and then I was on a field trip where they had guest speakers talking on the bus when you were supposed to be quiet and I accidentally set off the repeat function with my ass because it was in my pocket and it said quite the worst things that could've been said during a conversation about Geology. Damn our mouths.
I never saw that again; the teach confinscated it for good. (edited by Millenia on 02-08-06 05:49 PM) |

Originally posted by Danielle Oh, I have one of these somewhere at home but the batteries are dead. Iīve had lots of fun with that one. My family didnīt like when I recorded their voices, though. I could change the pitch of the voices too. |

Ahh...I don't think those were the lyrics.
They were closer to: "Have my house now take a boot." and "Half muskrat; Christie's p..." well yea... |

The best song to lower the pitch on by far: Cotton Eye Joe.
As seen in this: http://www.alcazarnetworks.com/wiggles.mov |
