| So I've become interested in doing speedruns of a few games (Notably, Cave Story), but I'm at a loss as to how to record a movie file of it. I'd prefer a program that's free and will allow me to do a single-segment (that is, won't stop recording after seven minutes). Does anyone here know of such a program?
And before someone tells me to google it, I have, and no solution has presented itself. |

| I think Camtasia would be able to do it, provided you have a higher-end system.
Aside from that, I really don't know. You'd have to ask communities that have actually sped-run it on how THEY did it. I know it's been done. |
