So far, SMWOE version 0.5b...

To Do:
So, I'm done the version 0.5 beta, I just need to get one .ips to package up with it, then release it. Notes:

Darkscript is designed to be a partial replacement for .ips's and a general script utility that will allow users to import .bin files to spaces in the ROM (like an .ips), except that if there is already data there (for example), the bin can be placed elsewqhere and any jumps to it or reads from it can be updated to match.
Also, the .bin files can be changed before being inserted, which allows you tro customize the files and also simply execute scripts to change parts of the SMW ROM. this is basically a General-Purpose expansion pack for SMWOE. |

Offset editor, Hex editor, IPS replacement... Interesting...
Suggestion: Make it read the offsets from an external file (.ini or something). |

Suggestion: For knowing offsets, have an option to download the offset listing from SMW Central and save it in an external file

Originally posted by Techokami If you do that, I can ask Boom.dk to make a special offset list without the normal formatting (to make it easier to get the data). |

I could work that in.
Mainly though, it would be just for in between releases, since I will always be trying to add in new offsets and that. I'll put together a format I could ask you for, and then get back to you, all right? |

Seems interesting. But wasn't this a private project (ie: only certain people get it) or something? That's how it was last time I remembered it. Has it changed since then or something?

No, it was never meant to be private.
Don't worry, I wouldn't do all this for something that's private! Perhaps maybe a beta version or whatever, but any official releases will be public. |

Correct.
Also, I've finished the version 0.5 Beta. Now I just need to get freewebs to fricken' work, and I'll have a link for you guys. Keep in mind it's quite poor right now, but that'll get better as I add more features EDIT: Great, jogin.jsp on the freewebs site disappeared, so I can't log in. It looks like it'll be a bit of a while, guys. (edited by Sukasa on 02-01-06 02:52 PM) |

...
Techokami, if you make another backup, does SMWOE cause the problem, or does Bio's patch? If you fiddle with all the SMWOE controls and it ausesa that problem, I don't want Bio to have to try and find a glitch or problem with his code that doesn't exist. |

I tested the patch alone, and the ROM still fails =/
Wish I could contact you with AIM or MSN about this. |

Ran in to a few major flaws.
First, when I apply the jump patch, about half my levels get literally destroyed by some sprite error. Second, any time I go near the jump feature, whether it'd be the boss jump or Marios jump editor, Mario will not jump when standing still in the game. |
